  • iCarly Cast SENDS LEGAL THREATS To Dan Schneider Following New Nickelodeon Documentary
The new Nickelodeon Docuseries ‘Quiet On Set’ has finally come out in its entirety and a lot of it dishes out a lot of dirty laundry about one man, Dan Schneider. Now when most think of Dan Schneider, there’s one specific show that comes to mind, iCarly. Well now in a not so surprising twist, the cast of iCarly have finally responded to Dan and his list of accusations.
The first one to truly say something was Jennette McCurdy. She said something over a year before the docuseries even came out. It all started like this, "Quiet on Set," a documentary series produced by Maxine Productions and Sony Pictures Television, in collaboration with Business Insider, delves into the troubling elements of popular children's TV shows created by Dan Schneider in the 1990s and early 2000s. Directed by Mary Robertson and Emma Schwartz, the series highlights the issues behind the scenes of these beloved programs.
In 2022, Business Insider conducted an investigation into the world of children's television overseen by Dan Schneider. The publication interviewed former child actors and crew members from shows such as "The Amanda Show," "Zoey 101," and "Victorious." These interviews uncovered a consistent pattern of Schneider cultivating an environment on set that was both uncomfortable and odd.
Business Insider's exposé comes off the heels of Jennette McCurdy, known for her role as Sam Puckett on "iCarly" and its spin-off "Sam & Cat," opening up about her uncomfortable experiences at Nickelodeon in her bestselling memoir, "I'm Glad My Mom Died."

What people need to understand is this isn't just sudden. Miranda, Nathan, and Jerry were fighting to get out from under their NDAs the moment Jeanette dropped her book. In fact, it's because they tried to get out from NDAs it's why the ICARLY reboot got canceled. So I am proud that the Icarly cast stood their ground against Dan and I hope that Miranda, Nathan, and Jerry get out from under their NDAs

I’m sorry, but absolutely none of this has been said. Miranda and Nathan never even publicly acknowledged when Jennette put out her book. They always seemed to want to stay out of things rather than speak about them. Unless proof comes out, this nonsense is just speculation. I seriously doubt they’re trying to get out of anything, they’re just staying silent.

Not to mention, an NDA doesn’t stop you from supporting someone else, it only means you cannot speak on the subject yourself. Simply liking Jennette’s book launch posts or commenting some type of support wouldn’t go against that, but none of them did that. Plus, the main point of her book was centered around the abuse from her mom. If they can’t show her support from the he’ll she endured at the hands of her own mother, they sure as hell won’t say anything about Quiet on Set. My point is, NDA or not, I doubt the cast would say anything.

They absolutely cover crimes, NDAs in Hollywood tells them not to talk to anyone not even a therapist about their trauma. They get sued for hundreds of thousands of dollars if not millions for even saying a word about it per infraction. It can cost more than what they've earned in their lifetime as a child star salaries. Plus there's mandatory mediation, where the judge is paid for by the corporations in their favor.

Children can't legally sign NDAs because until you reach a certain age you aren't seen as competent enough to make those choices. However, it doesn't stop sleazeballs like Dan from trying to use them to cover their tracks. Even though these NDAs should be voided it doesn't stop the matter from being a nasty litigation to argue it. Think about it. If Dan and others had a legal leg to stand on they would've came after Jeanette McCurdy with the best lawyers money can buy and the headlines would be everywhere. They don't want that. They wanted it swept under the rug which is EXACTLY why they issued these phoney baloney NDAs to scare these kids into silence.

There would be a lot of legal stuff to iron out if we're ever able to see iCarly together again.

When I watched it, it seemed he apologized for a very very small fraction of the things he was accused of, but mainly tried to shift the blame to the studio and execs themselves. Also it doesn’t seem like he feels like he did anything wrong, he’s just “apologizing” because he was called out and a lot of the public are calling him out (he didn’t apologize after Alexa Nikolas or Jeanette McCurdy spoke up about the abuse they experienced on set).

But the ones who should be held responsible and be in jail is the parents. They were 100% aware of these ongoing problems these children have been saying for years like how tf do you not get suspicious when Brian peck was showing his John gacey paintings to everyone and not one parent did not report it to the studio or any higher authority. If these parents acted appropriate then none of these SA wouldn’t be happening in the first place. There will always be creeps around no matter where we go and it’s our obligation as parents to protect our children from these certain individuals. Regardless of the content, this "click bait" is ridiculously insane.

There the title stated, "iCarly cast files lawsuit against Dan Schneider".
Upon watching the entire video, I realized that there was no mention of this at all in the video.
Also, what is really odd, is that they put a "CNN" banner on the screen around the story.
To make it look more legitimate and along with the false claim that the cast filed a lawsuit against Dan, which again, appears no where in this video.
These are the very reasons that I chose to watch it.
    SOCIAL MEDIA IS TERRIBLE!!

Where does the "iCarly threats" stuff come into play, AI-Voice?
Any timestamp to to go because... This video just talks about stuff already known about Drake Bell and Quiet and Set and the Dan stuff within the docuseries, but when does the video talk about the iCarly threats...? Most of them unfollowed Nick and iCarly on IG after the docuseries came out, but that's all I've heard from them... Miranda still follows Nick tho.

Well it sounds to me, like even though there was apparent approval, for what Dan wanted to put in his shows, and even though there was an apparent adult presence on his sets, IT SEEMS AS THOUGH THE BIG THING ABOUT ALL IS THAT EVERYTHING THAT WAS PERHAPS INAPPROPRIATE OR COMPLETELY INAPPROPRIATE WAS OVERLOOKED BY THE STAFF MEMBERS AND THE PARENTS OF THE CHILDREN. THAT SEEMS TO BE THE MAIN REASON WHY ALL OF THESE ALLEGED THINGS HAPPENED BECAUSE APPARENTLY NO ONE TOOK RESPONSIBILITY. 🤦

For me, the way Dan asked for forgiveness was quite satisfactory and sincere, all the scripts and the way the actors in the show were dressed on the set were approved by higher organizations. Even as I understand it, they are ready to review and remove parts from the show that may be considered inappropriate. I looked at the angry comments on recent posts on Nickelodeon’s Instagram, mostly 6-7 teenage fans who may have never forgiven anyone or asked for forgiveness, It is hard to rely on their opinion.

The fact the entire documentary is all about Dan Schneider. It paints a really bad picture on how Nickelodeon swept everything under the rug. And let Dan continue to work around kids and pedophiles. They didn't even bother doing background checks on anyone they hired. And now that the documentary is out. Now Nickelodeon acts like they care... U don't think so. They had plenty of time to fire Dan, and they chose to keep him. Why? Because Dan was making them millions every month. Nickelodeon is officially done, cancelled, off the air.
