As someone who DID grow up on TM (read my channel description for a clue), I fully expected to hate the TV show, especially after seeing Sweet Tooth twerk at a promotional event. I can't believe how much I enjoy it, and I'm glad I was wrong. Hopefully TM makes a comeback someday.
    Anyway, excellent video, dude. ✌️

It’s wild how good the show was.
I fired it up thinking it was going to be a nightmare.
And I think the promotional stuff really failed to showcase the best stuff.
      Thanks for watching, brother. 🙏🏼

My story was somewhat close to yours, honestly. I remember looking at the cover for Head-On and Black while organizing my dad's PS2 games. It cause my attention and I asked my dad what it was and if I could play it. As a young child, Sweet Tooth scared me a lot with the cover but I was still curious. My dad said I couldn't play the games yet and so I gave a nod, and returned to organizing the games. When the TV show came out, I immediately remembered that memory of sitting in the living room, asking my dad if I could play Twisted Metal. And with that thought in mind, I watched the show. After that, I became completely interested in the series and now it's probably one of my favorite games. I've always had a fascination for cars and FPS were never my style so the game quickly became a mix of everything I had been looking for. As of the time of writing this, I'm still working on playing through all the games, but TM:SB seems to be one of my favorites right now.

It’s definitely a series that has been doing it own thing all these years. That’s awesome you’re digging on it. I’ll have to check out the rest of the series in the near future.
      Thanks for watching!

I only played a bit of the first Twisted Metal on a demo disk as a kid, the game was pretty difficult at the time, never actually played a Twisted Metal game since but it was one of the earlier PS1 experiences I had, even if it was just a demo. At the time I found it funny how an ice cream van was remodeled into a combat vehicle, didn't really know how edgy the series became over the years. Maybe it's a series I should go back to at some point I don't know.

      It definitely worth revisiting.
Nothing gets more edgy than Black though, and it’s mechanically a good place to start too.

TM's TV show was definitely a beautiful thing! I rewatched it 4x! It just makes me sad more people I know haven't seen it! And my favorite TM game is definitely SB!

The show was indeed great, but all that means nothing if we don't get another game. The series NEEDS another game.

Tm 4 was literally the first game I remember picking out at 4-5 and my older brother picked Tekken 3 and my dad got NASCAR thunder 2001. The buy two get one free under 5 bin was how we got a lot of games so I'll always have a soft spot for twisted metal. I eventually got every other title besides TM 2012 as I didn't own a PS3 and the story is very disappointing and small brawl as I didn't even know it existed and me and my brother were all about the PS2 by then and he was 7 years older than me and our parents mostly my dad didn't really care about ratings so I played the 3d GTA trilogy and black by like 8 they just said hey remember it's just a video game and don't say the bad words. I vividly remember my brother telling me not to read the first mission of gta3. "Don't spank my bitch up" before I started kindergarten.
