There's no plans from FSG to do anymore expanding on Anfield stadium.. I agree the transport needs to be better. With concerts there ect. Good vids lad"👍
All depends on the will of our current owners to expand further.
It is 100% possible to expand Anfield to around 75k by expanding the Sir Kenny and the Kop.
I just have a feeling as long as FSG are our owners this Anfield will never see another expansion, they will continually blame it on transport issues.
Not that I would want Man City's owners as our own but if they did own us you can see this transport issues already of been fixed, FSG on the other hand aren't going to pump money into this.
Even if they are thinking about expanding either stand they won't until the Anfield road stand and the new training ground has been paid off by the club itself, not FSG, they haven't put a penny into our club out of their own pockets.
We won't see any future expansion, unfortunately, for at very least 4-5 years, and that's probably a timeline before we even hear it even going through the planning stage.
We would need new owners to come in that are willing to put money a lot of money into the transport issues that are suitable to expand further, I wouldn't mind even if its paid back to them by income generated by the club over time, we can fill a 80k stadium easily every match, not possible to get that at Anfield 75k id say is probably maximum we could get it too, so all though leaving Anfield would be last thing id ever want, I'm on the fence as to whether instead of expanding the main and Anfield road end, we might of been better building a brand new 80k stadium away from Anfield.
62k stadium for a club our size and size of our support is nowhere near enough, I just can't see it happening under FSG and any expansion if any will be 7+ years before even finished and that would still only be one more stand being doing in that time, simply unacceptable IMO.
Very insightful video! Thanks mate!
Thank You 👍
Let’s hope the kop is expanded, I’ve had a season ticket in it since it was a terrace and let’s be honest the current kop is nothing special, the terrace had an awe about it but this stand is average in design at best.
Sure hope it really happens, as kop needs to be a mega stand also now like the Dortmund Wall 👍
@@greybeardmedia-merseysidebeydefinitely, another great video though buddy thanks for all the updates.
I used to stand and got one of the first 4000 seats when it had no roof and only half the concrete terracing had been installed.... Health and safety would have a fit these days.
I honestly think the kop will need to be demolished and rebuilt at a steeper angle
@@paulcritchley6504 I agree it wouldn’t be a big loss it’s never been a stunning design the old terrace was but this kop is underwhelming especially now it’s the smallest stand in the ground
This Kop stand is very old and too small it’ s time for LFC to enter in 21 th century like the new everton stadium .
Great video, thanks for putting so much work into this. I had a comment that the council had plans already for those two areas of waste land outside Anfield. The council’s regeneration projects wouldn’t be finished until 2028 so no expansion before then. He seemed to think the SKD could be improved, not necessarily expanded by 2028. Thought that was interesting information worth sharing
Thank You So Much, yes those areas if own by LCC could be used to help transport network but won't be I feel, the mayor and LCC want this slider so much they also should look at areas in the hot spots they want the slider service like Anfield, Bramley Moore, City Centre And Airport 👍
@@LFCSG-j5b the lower rows of the SKD stand provide atrocious viewing. As soon as one person leans forward or stands up to see action at the other end, hundreds react the same and nobody sees the action.
Hello mate looking forward to and hope this project will come to light soon.... Keep it up great video... Hope one day I will come and be able to watch my very first game at anfield.... It's a dream for me and buy my very first liverpool jersey...... I am a fan since 1985..I was 11 now just turn 50 😁❤ YNWA 🌴✌️✌️✌️👍👍👍
Thank You So Much, hope you make it happen and visit Anfield for a game, you will cherish the memories for life, YnWa 👍

The 2 rebuilt stands are obviously a massive upgrade on what was in place but the whole stadium just comes across as a hodgepodge and something that was clearly never well thought out. As much as I love Anfield I still have the occasional thought that it would have been awesome to have a brand new, 70/80,000 stadium built. Great stuff as usual mate.
Thank You So Much 👍
@@BMJ0877 the new stand has NO accessible lifts
It’s one of those situations when you realise your old , I think that’s gonna take decades I don’t think I will see it . I’m a Belfast man the Gliders are everywhere now but they have seriously damaged the local taxi’s buisness but I suppose that’s progress see I even sound like an oul timer 😫 keep on going bro YNWA from Ireland 🇮🇪
I'm getting old lol, 50 bonfire night. Yeah I can see sliders effecting taxi services around Anfield when happens and certain bus services but for the future Anfield growing need to happen I think, thank you so much - YnWa
You need to compete with your rivals and Manchester United are looking to expand with rumoured £2b stadium.
Newcastle are to expand, Manchester City are to expand, Everton are moving to a modern state of the art stadium, Spurs have a modern state of the art stadium, Villa are to expand, rumoured that Aresnal are modernising ( another expansion possibly), so all these new stadiums are great! Certainly putting the EPL in a very competitive situation.
The problems is competing, and if Liverpool want to stay challenging, then they need to be better than the others, that would mean maybe a 75k seater stadium just to challenge United.
Im sure FSG are aware of and future issues and maybe behind the scenes plans are in place.
I still believe that FSG are waiting until Annie rd end has nearly paid itself, before any further development news .. maybe 4 to 5 years away
I was on a Hospitality deal from the Crowne Plaza to Anfield. We were dropped off a MILE AND A HALF AWAY.
In hindsight, the decision to redevelop Anfield and not build a brand new stadium is one I think the club will eventually regret. While the atmosphere and history at Anfield are unmatched, a modern 21st century stadium would have offered more capacity, revenue opportunities, and future-proofing for the long term. As other top clubs continue to expand their facilities, this might be something we look back on as a missed opportunity.
2 khán đài còn lại nên xây mới lại toàn bộ để sân đạt chuẩn kích thước 105x68m
Thers also another disused railway runs parallel to the one by anfield,it goes over the 2 roundabouts on broadway norris green, runs north to south of city ,come on city engineers lets see if you can match the engineers of a 100 yrs ago who built norris green and surrounding rds ,that are still big enuff to handle todays teaffic,ie,east lancs rd,walton hall av,queens drive etc👍plus we demolished the dockers umbrella,in the 60,s what a shame, plus merseyrail has 60 plus stations, which is staggering, not even manchester has that👍
Thank you so much, I never knew about this line. Thanks for the info, I need to go there and check it out and put a follow on vid together, these line shouldn't be going to waste deffo 👍
Could the empty plot of land where the hotel would have been better turned into a bus/coach/taxi hub for match days?
I think it would be great especially for coaches/sliders 👍
Why don't they build houses back on the land where the hotel was going to go and offer them to the folks in the houses on Skerries Rd and Wylva Rd then they can do the SKD stand.
As for a slider or bus station, they could use the patch of land at the back of the club shop
Both could work but I be surprised if we ever see houses built on that land
Goodison is reportedly going to be affordable housing, I wonder if they'll be selling the land to the council considering Evertons debt
The two new stands are great but unless we are doing KDS and the Kop Anfield will never be world class stadium, especially what Man U are planning. We are always playing catch up it was a massive mistake not to build a new stadium unless they knew they can extend the Kop and KDS in the future which at this moment it’s not going to happen 😢😤
They obviously think they can. Hence why they’re purchasing all the property around it
I think they should’ve beaten Everton to the site on the docks. We’d have built a proper one off stadium unlike Everton with their anonymous looking bowl. Never mind.
A very big tram line which has stations at : Anfield Liverpool FC, Albert Dock Maritime Museum, Bramley Moore Everton FC, Liverpool Central, John Lennon Airport and Aintree Racecourse would be great. Holding 270 people in a tram and having double decker trams.
Kop and SKD need expansion and rebuilding
They do but doubt it would be whole rebuilds
They are called gliders
👍
Why is it taking so long its like over a year behind schedule and it still no where finished.
Dragging to the finish line unfortunately 😕
Love your passion Wayne
The rail link is the way to go.
I wonder what the cost would be?
A mile walk to the ground so long as there is a safe corridor for pedestrians would be acceptable.
This corridor would be something good to visualise.
Thank You So Much 👍 YnWa
@@nicholasjones7990Not everyone is fit. Try walking a mile & a half uphill on Utting Avenue. Then seven flights of stairs (no lifts) to your seat.
