Hi Matt, did you locate the HULK for us yet? As far as this trigger, I have not attempted to tear this one down...but I think it will be a real challenge.
I waited and waited for the limited edition one but in the end I bought the 60DS in black and in silver and swapped the cylinders over. The gun dismantles exactly as the real steel version does, so loved that. Now I have two 'specials'!! I wanted the 60DS to mount a small red-dot and yes these pistols are low power but very accurate. I have read that the reason that the double-action is heavier is because it has a much more complicated sear disengagement. From tigger to hammer there are SIX separate moving parts, so it actually is amazing it's not heavier! The CO2 obviously is internally very different, hence the complexity to get around the gas system. In DA it uses on less part or something like that and I find DA very very smooth to use. Lovely CO2 pistol indeed!!! Another great video! 🙂
Hi JC, thats a grand looking air pistol. Nice it's different, are a copy of The Mateba Model 6 Unica. the bottom loading barrel. A shame the triggers aren't like the real version. Beautiful remembrance of your mother and beautiful introduction. What a joy grandparents. Great review . Have a nice weekend. Cheers
THANK YOU! I always look forward to seeing your comments and I really appreciate your continued support right from the beginning! I hope "NITRO and his brother and sisters are doing well! Have a fantastic weekend!😉👍👍
the only 2 negatives of firing out of the bottom chamber is in case of exploding overload , a top strap wil blow away , and the flip up of the normal revolver is a lesser felt recoil with the heavy calibers
Sorry you lost your lady friend. You will always have a memory from her. Great gun. I have the 50DS limited and the 60DS. I took off the side plates and lubricated the trigger assembly inside and it's better. They make a competition double action only real gun with no hammer..
Really enjoying your videos. I'm currently binging this playlist. At that price point, I'm amazed that it doesn't have a rifled barrel. And for me that trigger would be a deal-breaker. But given how you received this gun, I'm sure you will love it forever.
Cracking looking pistol. Even heavy triggers can be manageable, and I use molybdenum grease on the trigger parts I can get too, which I find does help a bit. Accuracy is very good and I use domed Lead pellets in all my BB revolvers. Great review.👍🇬🇧🇺🇸
Yes, pellets I find are best too,,,,and you're right...the trigger can be bettered with some grease, oil or a little work. It has six separate moving parts from trigger to hammer I read, so that's a lot. In DA it's fine!
I'm not a huge CO2 shooter but I recently picked one up just because I thought it looked cool I guess but it was a Artemis cp400 it's a pretty accurate little pistol I don't know if you've tried one out but you should check one out it's right up your alley
Sorry for being so late. I've had a replica revolver, the m29, which had those wood imitation grips and had a pretty bad accident (I dropped it at just the right angle and it exploded into pieces). Before I buy this one I want to know if I could find replacements for the Rhino. I haven't found any reasonably priced grip replacements so I was wondering if the real grips are compatible with the airgun.
I’m normally shooting with me right dominant hand, but now looking to practice with me left dominant eye so left hand. But my hand placement didn’t followed and it was a hot 357 😅 Didn’t look directly at my thumb, I feel like I’ve hit it with a hammer! But no damage, lessons entered
It's 1 out of 500 not number 1 in the series. Thanks for mentioning that the moon Clips do not work on The Dan Wesson because I was just about to order a package of them and they want an enormous price so you save me some money. Watching for a 2nd time. The trigger works in after awhile. I have both. Just oil the trigger mechanism and it will work smoother that's what I did after taking off the side plate.
Hi JC Thanks again for another entertaining and informative video, I was hoping that you would review this pistol, I actually bought the full Nickle plated version a couple of months ago. I agree with all of your conclusions concerning this pistol, I considered this and the Charging Rhino versions. However I'm not really into two tone finishes on pistols and really like the overall satin Nickle finish on the version that I decided to buy. Although the trigger is really stiff I still love this pistol and am really pleased to have it in my collection, am probably going to buy the Schofield No3 with the silver or aged finish next. Thanks again, I know you put a lot of hard work into these productions and congratulations on the latest addition to your family. All the very best, Andy from the UK
Hi Andy...so when I was doing some background on who still sold these...I broke down yesterday and purchased the all gold 60DS. I don't think they are in production anymore. Now I need to see if I can upgrade those triggers and reduce the pull weight. 🤔
Hi Larry, she is a little chunk! Such a happy baby and I can say i am a very proud grandpa (Feel too young for that title) 😉👍I appreciate the comments!
Nice review. Thanks for showing us this sweet replica, JC! Chiappa makes a gold color version of the 600 series too. I figured you would take both of yours apart and figure out what was needed to improve the replica's trigger? LOL
Hi Gary, I'm waiting for you to send me the schematics 😉😄. Ironically, when I purchased the real 60DS, it came in single action. I had to take it apart and add a piece, included with the pistol, to make it double action. I will get to it at some point. If I could solve that issue, I would purchase the gold 6" version as well. Happy Shooting Buddy!
@@AirgunDetectives The gold CO2 version is much more shiny and reflective than the real steel version I think....a little too 'bling' for me, but the real steel one looks sweet in gold.
Very cool video. I am going to go out on a limb and say you are a way better shot the average, all your videos in plinking sessions i bet you hit 95 % plus. Good job keep it up.
Hi Kurt, I think my years of shooting experience pay-off a little bit. Also, I am testing and shooting a lot of guns, so I think the practice helps. I really appreciate you watching and thank you for leaving comments! 😉👍
1 of 500 or 1 of 1000 means its 1 out off a serie , or the best out of a serie (winchester did that ) ,or just made 500 or so . and yes it could be serie number 1 from 500, i got a S&W 29 classic hunter out of 1987 S&W made 5000 of them .
A really sweet video! The Chiappa Rhino really is something. Did see a bit of it some years ago, but then it somehow vanished off the air, as some could say.. That one was very accurate - even despite the heavy triggerpull. But I also bet you would be able to fix that one. Yea. A damn shame you got "1 of 500".. That is just damn lazy by the manufacturer. But overall a one fine set. Og company box and everything for the airgun replica model even.
@@AirgunDetectives Yea. Curiosity can be a sob..🤣 But always so interesting to see what's going on in there.. My 8-rd pellet Glock 17 gen3 had a very stiff trigger to fire straight as new. A known thing by now with that model. But kinda odd - since the Umarex SA-10, which is an older model, had a very good trigger (one of my all-time favorites, of the pellet blowback replica pistols). But after a well filing and polishing of the teeths around the hammer axis (where the sear connects against) - the G17 trigger is now way good. It actually now is my favorite Glock replica to shoot.. The quite new 21rd blowback G17 gen5 though might also be quite a good shooter too. The gen4 BB G17 is a nice replica - but not as fun to shoot as my pellet G17 gen3 due it's snappier recoil.. But,, yea. A work on the trigger might make the shooting way more enjoyable. Though: you had already very good accuracy despite a hard trigger...
@Bror Jordas I broke down and just purchased the Gold 60DS. I don't think they are being manufactured anymore. So I will have to look into that trigger at some point!
1 of 500 is what many supercar manufactures put on the limited edition cars they sell...so it's completely normal to see this. I'd be more pissed if I paid an absolute fortune for a car and saw that....a pistol that's just a few hundred dollars....less. Also I think it's not a bad idea as it keeps ALL the limited run at equal value...whereas if they are individually numbered, even though it's the same gun...or supercar....some numbers will be more valuable than others. So it stops that nonsense. If yours had been the number 1 of 500 ...it would have been with the dealer, kept back for them to sell or keep. That's the problem with individual numbering....it creates a market within a market...a limited of a limited. It just get's stupid and unfair also for the purchaser. You got a great pistol...that number isn't important.
I understand your disappointment with the numbering. However, it's more disappointing when the woman says "You're the one and only" at the wedding and kicks it off with your best friend five years later.
Why do some companies always spoil these guns with terrible plastic grips. If the ASG Dan Wesson 715 can have metal and solid rubber why can’t everyone else???
The grips are not that bad..they are heavy plastic. What the needed to improve is the lousy trigger! Thank👍 you for tuning in and I appreciate your comments!
