- Hello and in this video I took some portraits of Françoise d'Aubigné I.e. Madame de Maintenon (King Louis XIV's mistress) and recreated her using photoshop, cinema 4d, and Adobe After Effects to show how I think she might have looked live. Of course all the renderings are just my own opinion.
All these recreations are my own artistic interpretations. I spent around 24 hours making this video, repainting and altering her paintings.
Madame de Maintenon (1635-1719) was King Louis XIV's mistress after Madame de Montespan and she had a very different personality than her predecessor.
So I hope you enjoy my video and the commentary I provide about this woman.

I love how Maintenon was depicted in Versailles. After she left Louis after their first fight and she was at the convent talking to the Mother Superior and the Mother (who wasnt fooled by Maintenon piety) was trying to get her to acknowledge her desire for Louis and all that came with him, she finally gave in and told her:..”POWER! ... I want power!...dominion...joy...pain! I want to crush my enemies! I WANT TO FEEL THE FIRE OF OUR LORD INSIDE ME!” I screamed FINALLY 😂

Madame de Maintenon was a good person. Reading and seeing what I have seen about Louis XVI's court, they were a frivolous bunch. She stood out and it sounds like had great influence over the king.

Just about the last person I would expect Louis IV to choose for a wife! I know very little about him but love the film A Little Chaos where Alan Rickman played Louis IV. I looked for your video to see what his second wife looked like. I love the background information you gave. Now I want to learn more.

I like Madame de Maintenon, she encouraged Louis to be a loyal husband to Marie Therese, founded a girls school and basically took care of Marie Adelaide of Savoy and Montespan's children. I feel like she was a very strong and motherly woman even though she had no kids of her own.
