I agree. I feel that all-star is an individual award, should be based off your individual stats and not your team's record. If a player chooses to go to a winning team but sacrifices their individual stats to do so, then that is on them. They knew that they would have to lose some of their individual accolades (like all-star, all-nba) to prioritize team achievements (championships). That is the point of sacrificing, you are supposed to lose something.

Most of these people voting don't follow the entire league and reward the 1st half which is ashame. Shaq is correct but it isn't a rule ... it's life. Only way to correct it is take away fan voting which will never happen.

As a Raptors fan, it warms my heart to see DeRozan up there with KD and Giannis! Here’s how you create a happy medium. Keep the all star fan voting intact but the only players eligible are those that have played a minimum of atleast 25 games barring injury. If said player has had an injury that withholds him out more than 10 consecutive games despite during that 25 game minimum then the player is no longer eligible for all star voting.
