Interesting to see what you have in your hiking bag. I love your sweatshirt - super cute!

I had a laugh about all the stuff that I pulled out! I reorganized my pack and left out some things that I don’t think I’d use while day hiking. Thanks for watching!

I always love to see what others use/pack. It’s usually a unique setup. I don’t think a thermometer is excessive. I always bring one. It’s the thermadrop. One way to deal with ticks and bugs is to treat your clothes with permethrin. It definitely keeps the tics and mosquitoes away. Tryout the trekking poles. You might like them. I use them all the time. They save me from rolling my ankle several times a day on trail and help immensely with the downhills by saving my knees. One additional think you may want to consider is a small and cheap tarp and some line (and learn how to set it up) just in the rare event that you would get stuck and have to spend the night for a little wind and weather protection. Having trekking poles would also help with setting up a tarp kind of like tent poles if need be. Just a thought. Overall great setup! 👍

Thanks! A tarp is a good idea! I’m surprised my bug spray wasn’t in there, I must have taken it out to use somewhere else, but I’ll have to try the Permethrin. The bugs and ticks were so bad this last Spring and Summer!

@@darcyshikingdiariesyou would probably need bug spray for exposed skin but the way permethrin is applied is you treat your clothes and let them hang out for a few hours to dry. It then is safe and on your clothes for something like 6 weeks or 6 washes. I love it and I rarely if ever find a tic on me. I think 1 over the past 6 years or so.

Make sure to check your settings, HD doesn't always pop up. I know my volume is low or too loud.... It's a show for sure!
