  • This video is a continuation of a building pad I have been working on for a customer. In a previous video we stripped the topsoil and now we brought in some clay fill from an existing dugout. The clay was very sticky and I made many lifts or layers to get some great compaction, The customer also used their grain tandem loaded with barley to drive back and forth to finish the packing. The Dozer is a 1979 International TD15C, and the road grader is a 1946 Galion MG. check out the aerial drone footage of the top soil stripping video.

Always nice to have a big machine, makes short work of the job!! Loaded trucks pack well!!
I used to do a lot of ditch work with my skid steer, drain tiles, water lines, sewer, phone and electric.. it packs really good! Only had a couple of dithes that settled. But then they were done when it was way too dry, or just a little too wet.
    Nice work!!

Thanks for the comment. The clay was coming out of the dugout like play dough. And you're right about the tandem. Nothing compacts like an 11r 22.5 lol
