Tips: Holy shit this boss probly made so many people kill them selves. Hes easily the hardest boss on the game. He has many diffrent moves. He has a healing move, hard hitting move, a partner stuning move, everything! Now I used Parakarry because hes a pimp. You can use anybody with a multi hit move. Bombette, Parakarry, Suishi, and Spike can all do this if upgraded enough. Make sure to have somegood badges equiped, and pleanty of items. The badge on the clould before this fight will make any fight cheap. Its the super charge jump badge, combine it with the power bounce badge and Huff-n-Puff is EASY!

This was the boss that made sure you knew what you were doing
1.) Stone cap
2.) Charge Goombario and wait until Mario unsolidifies
3.) UNLEASH THE FURY
You get it huh? I just play defense until Goombario does his thing. Takes about 13 turns, but worth it! [EVEN WORKS FOR Master 3, YOU JUST NEED 10 STONE CAPS SO YOU CAN DO IT AFTER CHAPTER 2 lmaoooooooooooo]
Yes sir. But when he's charged use multibonk for a 100% chance of success! Just make sure u time the button presses right lol

I remember first playing this on an emulator in 2012 and being shocked at how hard Huff N Puff was, and I had thought Lava Piranha was a pain
Lava piranha was easy if you had the ice and fire badges on. Huff n puff is probably the most annoying non optional boss on a blind playthrough though.
@@XTWDeadShotI had trouble with one of the big Bloopers that had 50HP in the Toadtown tunnels, until I realized I should have upgraded Goombario instead of one of my other characters so I just went ahead to Flower Fields to get another Super Block to finally upgrade him, which made that fight much easier, just had to watch your health when he charges up and attacks 2x’s 10hp to Mario which was what kept getting me killed.
This dude always gave me trouble as a kid before I learned to mash buttons insanely fast.
This guy was definitely a pain in the neck but at least the music is killer. :)

you think so? I thought of this as one of the worst tracks in the game, it just doesn't fit at all and sounds like someone experimenting with audio software for the first time

Parakarry was always my favourite partner, and this battle made me love him even more.
This was a pretty cool battle for how little it lasted... (Goombario best partner lmao). The music is great and the dialog of Huff n' Puff before the battle starts was surprisingly... intense? He seemed REALLY mad, it was cool, they did a great job portraying how angry he was.

@@GaroLeader My hardest was the thousand year door. and i used my old strategy from TTYD and playing this paper mario 64 on my phone's N64 emulator lol. good times!
You can take advantage of Speedy Spin to do Lava Piranha skip. And even if you can't do Huff n puff, play chapter 6 up to when you get Lakilester, Go to Mount Lava Lava, and do the Sushie Glitch using Save Block Storage to peach warp to chapter 7. (You do have to do a frame perfect input, but doing that is easier than Huff n puff? Huh???) (btw don't do peach warp after chapter 7 and save the game... otherwise you get an awful prize.) Just use jump charge 12 times, then Power Bounce, or abuse Goombarios Ultra Rank by charging for 4 years and then Multibonking. Use all the defense badges, And Chill Out, Focus on every turn until Chill Out wears off. Simple, Simple, Simple. (sry.)

I had to beat him by stacking Charge on Mario and Goombario for a boatload of turns before actually attacking. He only had 4 HP left after my first turn of attacks.
Jamison David I killed him on my first turn, I charged them so much they did like 18 damage on the first jump

This guy was a pain to beat
First use Repel Gel then use Bow with super slap to do 12 damage and use pow block to get rid of the tuff puffs and repeat until dead.
Beaten him in one move,super charge shoes,use them for 3 rounds straight and then multi bounce .
By the way, the intended strategy is to use Lakilester’s Spiny Surge to take out all the Tuff Puffs.
Actually the Whirlwind only hurts Mario not his partner, and the Thunder Attack does 12 unless u have the Defense Plus and or Damage Dodge badge on.
To me the hardest boss out from bowser was the volcano piranha plant even more when she revives will full HP and in flames. 🔥
FP can actually literally screw you over if you don’t have too many fp items to restore them!

Sheesh. I've beaten Bowser on my moms file but I can't beat him, even after beating all the bosses before him XD
Wow who knew god could be so easily defeated
After lots of trial and error, I finally beat him with Bow. Her slap is quite powerful and Outta Sight is useful when Huff does his electric charge.
...or you can just a use Goombario's ultra rank by charging a bunch of times and then using multibonk, all the defense badges, and some Super Shrooms. This way, it's easy with 10 HP!
Actually, a better strat is to use items when there are many tuff puffs on screen. e.x shooting star, fire flower.
I could never get past Huff n Puff
He's tricky, but with the right strategy he's easy to get past. Quick Change is your friend: switch to Lakilester to quickly smoke out the Tuff Puffs, use Bow to survive the thunder, charge, and let loose with Power Bounce. And whatever you do, DO NOT let him start a turn when he has less than five HP.
@@dylanattix2765 I finally got past him lol I did a defense first strategy. Then aoe attacks. The stone caps were a life saver as well.

I had to gamble my life on him with a power bounce. This is using save states on the virtual console. Huff N’ Puff is the hardest boss I’ve ever fought in a video game so far. I haven’t gotten to Bowser or the Anti Guys yet, but the Crystal King was WAY easier for me.
I feel terrible for confessing this. At least Paper Mario 1 is easily the hardest.

Damn! How did you already get 40HP and 40FP but only 24BP? I’m right at this part of the Huff N Puff boss and I only have 35 HP & 35FP and 30BP and I STILL feel under prepared to fight and beat him. And I don’t have Lakilester upgraded to ultra yet and I don’t have the Ultra boots yet either
I must have grinded amazee dazees in this chapter, easy to do. You can get ultra boots right now, they are in the sewers. You'll probably find a upgrade block down there as well for lakilester. If you want a really easy time use the charge badge with power bounce.
@@GaroLeader yea, thanks! I was having trouble trying to find enemies around the world to fight that actually gave me any coins or star points so that’s where I can find some enemies to fight. I’m about to fight Huff N Puff now, I put it off for awhile to try and figure out the best badges and approach to beat him more easily. I farmed a bunch of whacka’s bumps to use in battle when I’m low on health. lol I hate that I always feel like I don’t have enough BP even though I have the max 30 I usually always kept 2xs- Deep Focus badges 1FP each and 3xs Hp Plus badges 3FP each and 2xs FP Plus badges also for 3FP each, so I don’t have enough BP to use other badges that could help. But basically I have 24 Star Pieces and I only need one more to be able to get the last Power Plus badge but I kind of want to buy the Peekaboo badge from Merlow to help with Huff N Puff and I guess use Parakarry to get ride of the small puffs and use the S. Jump Chg. & Power Bounce Double Dip, Power Plus, All Or Nothing & 1 Deep Focus, 2 Hp Plus, 1 FP plus & Pay Off because I could use the coins
I never thought Jumping ability is useful since I beat this boss easier with Jump ability.
this boss is pretty challenging........unless you use a sh1tload of stone caps and spam charge on goombario than use multibonk there is no shame in cheesing him he is shockingly hard.
all i needed was: peril,dizzy shell mega rush,s jump charge mega jump
I s jump charged 5 times then used dizzy shell then mega jump (22 damage)
Dizzy shell doesn’t hit aerial opponents?
You get mega jump in chapter 7 and in this fight in chapter 6 !

+Patrick Fie He didn't have the badge that showed the boss's HP equipped; thus, he was using Goombario's Tattle so that he could see the boss's HP.

Tattle. I like it because it enhances the viewers experience with how he tattles everything and doesn’t just rush the fight, like most would do. We get to see pretty much everything this guy has to offer.

Notice how he charges, and uses spread moves when many are alive. If he just left them there, then yeah that would be a bad plan, but every time there are a lot of them, he uses a spread based attack.
Type noticed: when you Tattled the 2nd time it said; "that break of" instead of, "they break of", so Nintendo was a bit sloppy there, I guess.

It's a perfectly reasonable gimmick for the boss fight: you need to destroy the mini puffs to "bank" the damage you've already done.
Personally, it gave me my last real challenging boss. Which I greatly appreciate.

Really good video i dont know why i see it in2024 but sad he dont have those OG gameplay without cheat and other paper mario be one of the best game i ever play with ocarina of time to super mario 64 Golden eye perfect dark game in nowday never going to be better FR praticly all game have the same gameplay don’t have any originality exemple res 4 remake the gameplay is res6 same thing about how to take our weapon how to play or move and all just take like 70-80% of the OG game nothing have change to much praticly in nowdag game ia alway in the 3 persone how boring to see that not like the old game without the old game the remake never have existed for the reason in nowdag people dosent know how to make a good game but the productor is only good about remake game put dlc for make people trow away ia $$$ everyone can see it in nowday all compagnie is insane about cash grab oterwise if the productor be goos then is never put dlc in a game and do the same like the old game like res 4 put all thing in the game ans unlock when we finish thing and not buy all new dlc just for extra thing exemple res 4 we paid around 20-40 for the OG the remake like 100-300 with all dlc FR that dosent make sence that why old game is better not need to play online for have fun and not need to spend many hundred $$ just for a game🎉❤❤❤❤❤
