Hey everyone, hope you enjoyed the video.
It seems that there's an editing error in the table at 7:47. In Dimensity 9200's column, the first and tenth values should be 103 and 93, indicating a 10% run-to-run variation.
    Thank you for understanding :)

The rise of MediaTek is a great news for consumers as more competition is going to bring down prices. Also, I have first time in my life switched to a MediaTek powered phone and I got to say their thermal management is magnificent. Their chip can generate quite a lot of performance in low temps. It's useful when it comes to maintaining constant fps in games.

Even though Apple's A16 is far ahead in CPU performance on benchmarks but performs worse than 8 Gen 2 in real life usage because it doesn't have a proper cooling chamber which many android phones got. In GPU section, 8 Gen 2 destroys A16 on papers and in real life usage as well.

    • @Muhammad_Nuruddin
      @Muhammad_Nuruddin Год назад +6

I do think people would feel cheated since the A15 in the base iPhone 14 has a better performance than the A16 in the iPhone 14 Pro. On top of that, Apple is making it extremely hard to perform repairs on iPhone 14 Pros. Paying a higher price for what is essentially worse.

A16 has the same gpu model as the A15, the cpu of the a16 is only 10% faster and ever so slightly power efficient, a17 will apparently get a major gpu overhaul which will probably put gpu performance back in top place till the competitors release their newest chip, though it will only be exclusive to the pro / pro max models of the iPhone 15 unfortunately, base model iphone 15 will boast the a16 apparently which is a shame seeing as the latest base model iphone will have the basically have the same gpu as the iphone 13 pro

Whatever the results; what really matters is sustained performance and stability under load, and I am glad to see that all 3 chips manage to maintain their performance with relatively low external temperatures.
I am glad you also mentioned real world tests because benchmarks aren't realistic and most companies cheat by optimising their chips to perform harder when they recognise benchmarks. There are testers who spoof other apps as benchmarks and notice the chips overclock to work harder than usual.
Genshin Impact is the "Crysis" of mobile games. I don't know when there will ever be a chipset that can run it above 60 fps on ultra settings without overheating.

Awesome comparison. Your sequencing is always spot on🙃. But on a larger perception, since snap8gen2 and dim9200 has ray tracing capability.... its was very much obvious that they will steal the lime light from A16. Being in 3D field, i can say that ray tracing is extremely processor cum GPU hungry aspect. It is all about adding real reflections and real shadows onto every single frame. Above all..... if the game scene has a glass surface or chance upon a mirror somewhere.... ray trace engine follows same physical law of reflection as encountered in real life... ie, infinite reflections!!!! 'aka' reflections within reflections.......

Actually those benchmarks are nothing compared to real world gamings/usage. I have both iPhone 14 pro and samsung galaxy s23 but the Apple performs better.

If anyone thinks geekbench scores are to be considered, you really shouldn't because geekbench uses a lot of micro processes and that performance cannot be sustained for a longer period of time, rather consider something like pass mark.
if anyone is considerate about the Battery efficiency, go look at snapdragon 8+ gen 1 , 8 gen 2 will only improve over it.
Lastly the gpu is vastly superior over apple's.
And the most important factor as price because the cheapest iphone in the 14 series still uses last gen SoC.
Snapdragon is really turning things around.

Snapdragon fell down real hard when Samsung got its hands on Snapdragon, And You see how much Snapdragon suffered when it was under Samsung but when Snapdragon went back to tsmc,Snapdragon slowly started to pick itself and got back in competition.

iPhone....i mean that money is not worth in iphone nowadays on the amount which we are paying as other flagships are giving better performance like iphone at lesser price....Phones like Oppo ,Vivo Huawei,Sony Xperia, OnePlus, samsung are giving equal or better camera performance and general performance than iphone at lesser price which are worth....and there not that much performance gap between both phones too....
