@cttn101 It is good that Australia is rethinking it's position on CO2 . You are right that alternative sources of energy are more costly, but this problem is not unique to Australia. You are even close to the producer countries like China, Singapore, Japan. Total population is irrelevant, renewable are easier to use in low populated areas. Manufacturing in Australia is also not more expensive than in Europe. The main issue is lack of political will, a strong mining industry and very cheap coal.

Australian Universities actually lead the world in most scientific studies, including climate change, but we sell our innovations and ideas to Germany, Japan, China and USA... because everythings to expensive to make happen, we only have 20million people.. where's the tax coming from..?
