I like how Roy talks about Hayley. Hayley was everything to him and when she died he lost everything but now he has his niece Nina Lucas living with him and helping him run the cafe Roy's Rolls with him, Bernie and Shona which is a huge relief for Roy anyway. I am so proud of Roy Cropper and how far he's come after losing Hayley to cancer and in 2018 when his and Hayley's temporary foster son Wayne Hayes returned Roy had to tell Wayne about Hayley's death. And together they reminisced about Hayley and talking about her releases the pain. And the mention of Hayley in a conversation with Nina when Nina was talking about her late father Roy's brother Richard Lucas it kind of reminded Roy alot of missing Hayley and that I like how he can talk about Hayley without wishing she lived and missing her grieving for her all over again. And with Nina he can relate to that. Hayley and Richard were an important part of Roy's life and it's Roy's protective duty as a promise to Richard about looking out for Nina and looking after her for his brother so yeah I'm glad that Roy and Nina have this in their lives. Family is family and Nina means everything to Roy and Roy will do anything to protect his niece and keep her safe and out of harm's way well except for that brutal night when Corey Brent, Kelly Neelan and their nasty mates brutally attacked Nina and Seb which resulted in Seb's death.
