    I started off with palm rolling..I let someone talk me into interlocking mine at 4 months because I workout...HATED that decision..I actually cried..I'm now back to palm rolling

      We live and we learn Queen it’s all good! It’s actually great that you tried it because now you can share your experience with other “palm rollers” , that are thinking about interlocking. Oooo QUESTION: Since your locs have grown out, can you see the difference in that one part of your locs that was interlocked?

      Myricia La’Rease yes I definitely can tell..it looks just like a knot but I definitely wouldn’t suggest it especially if you have fine (thin) hair

      I just interlocked on the 17th to repair my locs im going back to palm rolling but how long do I need to wait because I hate the looks for interlocking

      J Terrell I immediately started palm rolling mine the next day but the bad part is those knots are still there but it looks a lot better now that my locs have gotten length

      @@desireeosborneterry I really did not know what interlocking was and she told me she needed to interlock to put all the broken hair back into the locs and told me to wait 3 months before palm rolling

    I interlocked my hair instead of palm rolling because my hair is curly and only kinking at the ends. I also love to swim and wash my hair every other week without having to do a complete retwist. However sometimes I will do a quick palmroll when I want a neat look, but I do find the pressure of the metal clips makes my sides appear thinner and more fragile.

    I'm week two and can't wait to see a bud and I will be retwisting. They say with interlocking you can mess up and have holes in your locs. I would think with interlocking you definitely need to know what your doing.

      Yes! That’s exactly what I was afraid of! Locs are a huge commitment so risking holes was definitely not worth it to me. Lol thanks for watching Hun ☺️🙌🏽✨ and blessings to you on your #LOCJOURNEY 🖤.

    I don't have locs anymore but in 2019 I started my first set with two strand twists and maintained only with interlocking. I knew palm rolling wouldn't work for me because I have to wash my hair often. I really liked it! I had them for 8 months and would interlock every 4-6 weeks. I've seen some people on YT who interlock but palm roll the length so it can keep the cylindrical shape.

    Do u have any tips for protecting ur Locs when working out ?

    • @MyriciaLaRease
      @MyriciaLaRease  4 года назад +1

      Ooo that’s a good one! If you have shorter locs like me, get you a good “low stress” scrunchie/hair tie, and a breathable silk scarf for your edges. When I work out, I sweat like a pig 😂. So I pull my hair up out of my face and off my neck. And the scarf is just to help absorb some of that sweat, as well as keep my locs in the front laying down ✨.

      Myricia La’Rease does working out with Locs get easier as it matures ?

    • @MyriciaLaRease

      Honestly, I’d hope so! I think once our locs are mature, they get tougher. And water/sweat isn’t nearly as annoying. Lol Even now, at almost 1 YEAR LOC’D!!! I feel like my hair rolls her eyes at this Florida humidity, my hair can get wet in the rain and not be phased 💁🏽‍♀️... locs are amazing yo.
