- Today I am visiting the small North Carolina Town of Fair Bluff. At one time Fair Bluff was a vibrate small town with a population of 1,000. In the last decade the towns population has fell by 60 percent. The town as it stands today is a ghost town. A shell of its former self.

I am sorry to have missed pronounced the name of the town in this video. The towns name is Fair Bluff. For some reason I was calling it Flair Bluff. I guess watching Rick Flair interviews on youtube before filming was not a good idea.😁 Thank you for your understanding.
Sad to see that small town go to the way side. Great vid buddy
I agree, it's really a shame. Thanks for watching my friend.
My family and I drove near there not long after the 2018 flood, on the way to Carolina Beach. It’s sad to see all the deviation. I hope the town can rebuild. Thank you for the video!!
I'm glad you enjoyed the video and thanks for sharing your experience.
The name of the town is Fair Bluff, not Flair Bluff!
You are correct. Thanks. I guess I was thinking about Rick Flair that day.😂
@@HitchHikingYeti WOOO!
400 to 450 people is not a Ghost Town
The clock is probably half of a Verdin carillon system which rang the town bells every hour. Usually the clocks are across the street from the town hall where the speaker system was installed.
Thanks for the info! That makes sense! Have a good day. Thanks for watching.
Never heard of that town. But welcome a haunted town. Can’t get over all the flooding. You can tell it saw some action. I just can’t imagine it. What a mess. Praying for WNC geez,
Thanks for watching dude! Have a great weekend.👍
Omgosh! My navi took me through there last month on my way to my kids. It was so pretty & quaint. Thanks for this!
You are welcome. Thank you for watching. Have a blessed day.
Wow! The damage is something
Thanks for watching my friend.👍
You should explore the small town of Bladenboro that's not far from there. Dig down into the history of the Bladenboro Beast.
I will look into it. Thanks for watching my friend.👍
Hurricanes have a lot to answer for.Decimating communities to this day in NC. It makes you think what the future holds for towns like Fair Bluff. Will it happen again? Its a worry i dont know if i could live somewhere that is so susceptible to Hurricanes. Its very sad. ❤
Start a education program for locals to be nice and welcoming to the Helene disaster families who need to buy and rent homes. Several families are in a small town in South Carolina. Had to move four small business. Hired about 300 of the local folks. Then hired service companies to maintain the homes and businesses. Alot of folks can not wait for the new normal to be finished in about ten years. Start teams of folks who could help folks with relocation guestions. Better then gangs and crimals sneaking into your great community to live next to you. I would just like to come visit to have respite from the Helene distaster area.
It's sad to lose these old towns like this. Bet insurance ditched and denied lots of claims there.
Hey Wooley. You are probably right. I would imagine after two hurricanes in two years. The insurance companies most likely bailed. Thanks for watching.
I find it hard to look at shades on a RUclipsr, as I cannot see eyes. You must have extremely light-sensitive eyes? It's not even sunny! Otherwise, great vids!
Thanks for watching Allis.
I’ll guess nafta and Americans endless desire for cheap Chinese crap happened ?
