  • Another walk along The Heart of England Way, I head from Chipping Camden to the village of Blockley, which is known as the filming location for the BBC TV series Father Brown. A quick look around the village at the end and a walk around the church used in the TV series. We also pass through the small village of Broad Campden along the way.

Such a great walk. That looked like a lovely village. Such amazing buildings. Also, beautiful countryside. Great views of the inside of the tree, animals and green landscapes. Have a nice weekend Andy.

Thank you Gasper. Yes it's a great trail to do, walking through farmland most of the time, and some beautiful villages in an area known as The Cotswolds. The trail is 100 miles in total, I've been walking it in small stages. Thank you for watching. All the best, Andy 👍

Lovely video, thanks for sharing. It was late in May 2003 when we had our lunch on the seat opposite the Church in the lovely village of Broad Campden, 10 years before the Father Brown series was televised ! We met many cows on our travels and fortunately only encountered trouble once.
    All the best, Peter.

Thank you Peter, yes the cows can be troublesome creatures. Blockley was another beautiful village on this tour. I did not realise it had been a filming location until I got home and did my very brief research. Then I watched the first episode looking for filming locations. I used the new looking cafe in Blockley for a quick cake and coffee before heading back.to Chipping Campden. Thank you for watching and sharing your memories of this walk. All the best, Andy 👍

Hi Andy, Chipping Campden looked so beautiful, I love the stone that the houses are built with there, very beautiful place but then I do love the Cotswolds from the bits that I've seen.
Looking forward to your walks along the South West coadt path and I think you said you're planning to visit Pwllheli after that . Croeso 😃
Loved the look of Bleckley and that church was beautiful 🙂👍~ Anna

Hi Anna, Thank you for watching, I also love the stone colours used through the cotswolds. The villages and towns look so pretty. I hope to get to Pwllheli on the coast path by the end of this year at least, well that is the plan. We are currently at Whistling Sands. I have done a few walks in Cornwall, with short sections of the South West Coast Path involved. Im back home now and hope to continue with the Wales Coast Path again soon. I did not realise the village of Blockley where we finished this walk was used in the TV programme Father Brown, which I have never watched, but I did watch a couple of clips when I found out. Thank you again for watching and commenting, all the best, Andy👍
