These birds are THE MOST beautiful Eagle of all, imo. I adore this species just wish the siblings were a bit nicer to one another. It is what it is though.
I don't know about wild birds actually loving their chicks but this adult female is a very good provider (and moreso the male) of food for the chicks, which she distributes evenly and in large quantities. The older chick is usually stuffed as you see here and the runt is also getting a major share of food to eat as well. Instead of the usual routine, where the larger chick is constantly beating up and eventually killing the runt these two seem to be totally different. Here, the runt is usually beating up the older, more passive chick. If you watch these nest videos you'll notice that the runt never takes its eyes off the older chick, watching it constantly while the older chick hardly even reacts to the runt.
Lol watch the videos eventually the bigger one has enough of being pecked at and for 5 days straight he retaliates by constantly chasing the smaller one biting and trapping him with his claws as he trys to eat him alive ripping out his feathers trying to take chunks out until it eventually dies. Then the mom feeds the smaller one to the older and its a happy ending
To jednak są włochate, maluszek ma szansę jak będzie jadł , dzisiaj widziałam że jest zraniony na plecach lub to jest zabrudzenie , starszak je cały czas więc szybciej rośnie , maluszek je ale za mało , nie zawsze mama chce podejść do niego a on biedny stara się nie ruszać by nie prowokować starszaka , mocno trzymam kciuki za maluszka zwłaszcza że starszak był dzisiaj mniej agresywny, może mu już przechodzi...🍀🍀🍀💗🍀🍀🍀
Tak , Krys , mam to nagrane , plecki ma bardzo poranione , starszak bardzo się nad nim znęcał , ale maluch trochę jadł , może mu się uda ... Oby ;))) ( niestety , nie przechodzi , chyba upał mu pod koniec dnia zaszkodził , bo wcześniej .... , to było " straszne )
Oglądając wcześniejsze filmiki to młodszy prowokowal starszaka .Widać że jest poraniony żeby tylko matka chciała częściej karmić. Matka na siłę karmi starszak

Had the eldest been hungry, the "runt" would've waited his turn to be fed. Mom will always make sure the eldest is cared for first.
