    I am so happy to see this video! We came to the temple and then ate in the restaurant after , last summer when I visited London…and yes we had tali. It is very satvic food…do not expect high restaurant dishes…it’s simple and humble….I loved it 🙏🙏🙏🙏

    For good & cheap vegetarian eats in the city centre Govinda's has become one of my go-to places!!! So much veggie food in the city is stupidly expensive

    Please.... we are interested in your personal choice: the restaurants that you like, not a list of all the restaurants in London (I know it is impossible!!). That is the most interesting and valuable information for many of us! and very kind of you!!

    One of my fav places in Mumbai is Govinda's at the ISCON Temple here. Yes! The food is amazing n Satvic. Being a Meditator/Vegetarian it suits me perfectly. Thanks for introducing me to this place in London. I hadn't heard of it. Please continue wd this Series.. It's heartening to know dat there r so many Indian Restos out there. Here, they are vanishing as ppl r more into Cafes n Mc Do kinda places. A very Happy Holi to u dear Chetna. Stay Blessed..

    Hi... super ! Have you tried the Mowgli chain... l was impressed..
    I live near Toulouse & there's nothing that l'd call real Indian tastes.. very disappointing for a self-taught (thanks to Madhur Jaffrey's books..) aspiring Indian-style adventurous cook since the 70s...
    I'm English & have never been to lndia, being vegetarian l'd have loved Govinda's Thali...
    Still l can enjoy this through your vids ..Many thanks Chetna ..please keep it up, & l love your cooking vids too ❤

    To each their own but I didn't like the food at Govinda's. I decided to eat at the restaurant after praying upstairs. I found the food to be quite bland, it didn't have enough masala in the food. Saying so, it's a good place for people who find Indian food to be too strong.

      @@IndianBollywood1 the food is tasty, but different times, there are different people around the world may come and do some cooking service. Buying food there it's a donation, it's for Krishna. It is pure veg, no onion or garlic which we human should not eat according to holy scriptures to make actual spiritual advancement. Thanks

    "Oldest Indian restaurant in the UK." Over 35 yrs.... So I flew into London in 1970, year I was to finish college, and a friend of a friend had hooked us up w a Brit born in India as part of the Raj who took us to a little hole in the wall for an Indian lunch. What might that restaurant have been?

    Kalpna in Edinburgh opened in 1975 - according to their website. So that would make it the oldest veg Indian restaurant in the U.K. if true

    The best food to enjoy. No meat, no fish, no egg, no garlic, no onion. Food for the soul. Many people including me travel form far away to eat. Eating this food cannot be compare to any other food.

      There are some religious groups in India who don’t eat onion,and garlic,so in the place they usually use Hing(Asafoetida) in a very small amount.

    Can you please explain the no garlic or onion in this diet? Because that’s not part of the vegan diet to me 🤷‍♀️ they are the two most used flavour enhancers right? I’m not convinced and after watching the rest of the video, I don’t think you are either 😉🙏

      Spiritual or blessed food is vegetarian & does not contain onions or garlic . These two vegetables are not eaten generally by religious people in Hinduism ❤

    Fantastic series I love it…. Please keep it going. But this is not the oldest Indian restaurant in the uk or even london, that’s an absolute lie. I’m a born and raised Londoner in my mid 40’s and there have been Indian restaurants here long before I was even born. This guy is saying he is the oldest in the uk because he has been there for 35 years 😂😂😂😂😂😂

      This clearly shows that you were not listening properly because no one claims this is the oldest Indian restaurant in the UK but it is the oldest vegetarian restaurant in the UK, atleast know the facts......

    The restaurant is dirty and only has a hygiene rating of 2 out of 5 and hygiene need improvement. I personally do not eat at such low hygiene rated restaurants .
