I'm so glad Avril was convinced to include this song! She stated how she didn't want to include this song cause she wanted the album to be more fun and upbeat but the guys she was working with one of them being I think Travis Barker convinced her to include it and I'm glad they did! The album wouldn't feel complete to me without a song like this. The more I listen to it, the more I really love this song!

I so agree! Initially I felt it didn’t go with the more upbeat/energetic/angsty sound of the album but God as much I love how much ‘love sux’ captures the energy of ‘best Damn thing’-I simply love a good Avril ballad

So amazing this one. I'd say this is one of the best songs that Avril ever made, so lovely lyrics, in one of her best albums ever, I'd say tied with Let Go and Under My Skin.

This album is so underrated and it doesn’t deserve to be with tracks like these. “Dare to Love Me” is such a beautiful ballad that hits so close to home as a hopeless romantic forced to to put up walls after being hurt so many times. I cry listening to this. It’s so hard to fall in love or accepting love after seeing it fall apart constantly.

@@commodore6430 She absolutely does, she writes on every track she has every released on her album however it's usually co-writes with producers/songwriters but she will always have one or two tracks on albums where she completely writes the full song herself. This track being the example on her new album.
@@luckofthejamie Correct. Important to know that all artists have some sort of team that they collaborate with. To fully produce a song takes a lot of people on the sound engineering, instrumental, and effects side (and yes, lyrics). Nobody does it entirely on their own. Avril teamed up with John Feldman, Travis, Mod-Sun mainly for this but make no mistake...she is a true songwriter and one of the best. She's credited with all of the songs (maybe a few exceptions only) across her 7 albums.

This one has got to be my favorite on the album. I personally really enjoy her slower songs. Well I enjoy all of her songs but the slower ones feel so heartfelt and angelic🤍 anyways I can't wait for my CD to arrive!

@@sweetdespair299 Same. She said that there was going to be one ballad on the album. She actually wasn't going to include it, since they (Mod, Travis, Feldy) recorded enough songs for 2 albums. In her words..."The boys made me include it." I love everything about this album and what it represents of Avril for all of us!

As in record an album for her ya mean? Bruh I'd love to do so as well. But if what PS Audio says about DSD be true then I'd do it in 128 MHZ DSD. Only thing is I don't know if DSD can handle multi channal. Cause I'd also wana do each song with as many channals as there are tracks. Well tracks and stems. So what PS Audio says is that DSD is even more natural then WAV. They say that DSD is pretty close to analog and at least in digital it is the best you can do to get close to real. Again so Paul clames. Don't know this to be true myself as unfortionately I've not ever heard a DSD file.

One of the many cool things about Avril albums is how the tracks remain just as good from the first to the last song. Most bands front-load their record with like 2-3 good songs, then the record starts to suck as it moves along.
