    Brown eggs don't have any more protein that a white egg. Egg color is made by the breed of chicken. Does the man interviewed really think he can't eat white eggs because he needs protein? You don't eat the shells, you eat the inside which is the same no matter what color the shells are.

    • @ironrose888
      @ironrose888 8 дней назад +13

      I laughed so hard when the guy said he had to eat brown eggs. All eggs, no matter what color have protein. The color of the egg shells don’t determine the nutritional value of the egg. It’s the color of the egg yolks. My farm fresh eggs have a bright yellow or orange color and they have better nutrition. My eggs come in all kinds of colors, depending on the breed of the chickens. Only my duck eggs are white. 😂

    And this is why people want their own land so we can start farming again. I'm tired of these big companies controlling everything and then when they fall short, everyone's lives are up in the air. We the people want affordable land, affordable homes, and less government regulations.

    Massive million+ bird farms brought prices down and profits up for awhile, but also caused the unintended consequence of lack of protection from disease. Four years is past time for the industry to reduce risk by dividing farms into smaller units to reduce the risk of mass losses, shortages and price increases.

      That in itself is part of a serious problem when we have regulations, but yet we don't have rights what these other countries use as fertilizers, they could be using sewage for all we know.
      And country whitin itself is the biggest breadbasket of all countries, with great soils and our farmers grow the best, And shopping markets in this country selling rot.

      And don't get me started with household cleaning supplies, like soaps and detergents and the papper wipe your azz, Add that up for a family of 6 : Trumps last words when he loss his second term, FJB will destroy this country and he did just that.

We did also milk cows (small family farm--organic grass fed) went out during 2020 :(. We have Hereford cows now to maintain the pastures along with a small herd of horses. • @LisaTurner-d1b
      @LisaTurner-d1b 9 дней назад +4

      maybe this will help you understand things.
      You have 10 million birds spread out over several farms that produce in total of 10 million eggs per day. You sell those 10 million eggs daily for $2.50 a dozen.
      Now 5 million of your birds die thus your egg production drops from 10 million eggs per day to 5 million eggs.per day yet the demand is for 10 million eggs. Now what do you think is going to happen to the price of those eggs. Hint! They are going to go up and they are going to go to the highest bidder.
      When the demand for a product is high and the supply is low then the product will increase in price to what the buyer is willing to pay for eggs. Simple supply and demand.
      if you pay attention to these things you can prepare in advance. At the moment I have 8 dozen eggs in the freezer. I have decided on the price I'm willing to pay and if the price of eggs goes higher than that I will eat what I have stored in the freezer.
      I also believe that there will also be a seed shortage this year as the cost of veggies will rise due to trumps tariffs and deportation efforts which is why I stocked up on new seed to go along with the seed I harvested from the plants that I let go to seed last year for that purpose. In the meantime things that I can dehydrate are being added to the pantry.

      Bill Gates, a huge investor in vaccines, produced a
      conference on responding to a pandemic a year before Covid showed up. Why? Did he know it was being planned? Fort Detrick on the East Coast is a major Military Bio-Lab. Did Gates and Big Pharma produce Covid, smuggle it to Wuhan, and intentionally release it to frame China?

    *How many communities need poultry farming?
    *How many communities need adequate dehydration and freeze drying facilities for poultry meat or eggs?
    *There are a number of chicken breeds that are more resistant to diseases.
    *They are already experimenting with genetic engineering to create chicken breeds that are more resistant to diseases.
    *Keeping the chicken coops clean and managing the chickens to have them healthier helps the chickens to resist diseases.
    *Have a good quality man-made pasture prepared for the chickens to keep them strong, healthy, and free from pollutants.
    *At the first sign of diseases can the poultry be immediately sent to slaughter?
    *When flocks are destroyed are they recycled somehow?
    *Tofu may help as a high protein alternative that can be prepared with or without eggs.

    There is something driving the issues with disease in animals. Large scale operations. Used to be there were so many small family farms. They could not compete with the big corporations and a vast majority of them went out of business. But the conglomerate farms are creating conditions that allow disease to spread to vast numbers of animals. As those vast numbers of animals become sick, with a virus for instance, that virus has the opportunity to mutate into something more deadly. Because of these close quarters intensive raising of animals, many are given antibiotics that help keep them from getting sick. That produces super germs as they change to be able to escape the antibiotics. Then we end up with all these antibiotic resistant organisms. Same is true for huge factory produce farms, because it is a monoculture, they almost have to spray pesticides to control the insects. Again, smaller farms or home gardens are able to intercrop, plant deterent crops like marigolds, etc.

      Part of the problem is the way animals are farmed, which is inhumane and not conducive to animal health. If one has 3,000 hens packed 2 to a crate, 1 sick hen will rapidly spread disease. They never see natural light,walk on grass etc.

    as a property owner at $12.oo and we have three laying hens and a rooster , $65.oo to build a pen and hen house ... now fresh eggs every morning , clean , and warm fresh ,,, what we do not eat we sell or trade to neighbors to off set the feed costs ... no gouging here . ?
    What is this about eggs ?
    plus young chicks to give to or trade to friends , plus fresh chicken when they are too old to lay .... learned this from the Amish

    Chickens are easy to take care of and are fun to grow. It’s expensive though. I spent about $40 per week on chicken food and during winter, we get only a few eggs per day. During warmer months, we get more than a dozen eggs per day. The chickens don’t lay as many eggs during the winter because of shorter hours of sunlight per day. 😢
