E144 - Roz’s Moto Adventure Ride Australia - Tasmania, Strathgordon, Scott’s Peak, Junee Cave

- This episode takes me up to day 269 of my year long adventure ride around Australia and the awesome adventure of Josie & Rosie continues! We wake up on Ted’s Beach, Lake Pedder in Strathgordon on Tasmania’s west coast! After packing up and bidding our fellow campers goodbye, we leg it southbound down to Scott’s Peak! Stuff me it was a stunning ride and the track was in mint condition! We rode the trail all the way to the end of the road which was an awesome lookout called Red Knoll! The views were EPIC and 360 degrees! We took in the Gordon Dam Boat Ramp and Huon Campground along the way and then it was time to sadly leave this beautiful place! Josie and I detoured to the beautiful Junee Cave in Maydena on our way home! What an EPIC day and we were absolutely knackered by the time we hit her Mountain River home back in the Huon Valley! Thank you soooo much for being an awesome adventure buddy Josie...you rock! 😍🙏⛺️⛺️🏍🏍💨

I haven't been able to comment for a while but have been following your travels on my TV and in the famous words of Roz "Stuff Me Tassie is Spectacular ". It has really confirmed my plans to ride Tassie myself thanks to the vision you have you have kindly taken the time to edit and upload , I think Tourism Tasmania should be subsidising your travels down there. You keep meeting the nicest people on your journey so I'm sure the universe has the best of plans for you.

Wow wow wow, I've been to Lake Pedder on my GS but never there. I refer to Tasmania as Gods country it's so beautiful the scenery is breathtaking. Mark must be kicking himself he didn't do this leg with you, certainly make's me want to go back. Good on you Rozz your a legend. 👍🏍⛺ 🌄
Off the beaten track is where the magic is and yep, visiting once will never be enough in this adventure riders utopia! 😍🙏⛺️🏍💨 Mark’s been here 5 times previously (though not by bike) and his grandfather hails from here! He was going to come but I wanted to experience the magic with my fresh eyes and take my time exploring...so it was me that made the decision to go our separate ways BUT he’s got more epic adventures coming right up with his Kombi and his mate Jim to FNQ! Lucky bugger! 😂👍🏁🐊

Sorry my previous comments on your last Vid , talked about Jacobs ladder ( the climb is called that , but it’s on Ben Lomond Rd - all dirt it’s only up and down. Around 15kms by memory ) goes to a ski resort ( wouldn’t ride it in winter ❄️) actually I wouldn’t ride Tassie in winter 😂😂😂
Hahah yep, got it darl! And there’s a dirt road back down the bottom that goes to Mathina, so I’ll be doing that too...all BEFORE winter! 🤞🥶🍀😂😂😂

Is this a one off trip Roz or a life style change? I love Australia and I've always dreamed of going there despite the fact an Australian kid bullied me in the 5th grade . lol I'm planning a trip with my two sisters end of this summer in southwest Utah Southern Cali , Arizona region. I'm looking forward to Zion national park and some winding mountain switchback trails , if you ever get the chance, try riding in the states, huge off road community here.
It’s a one off trip of a lifetime darl with my cash reserve being a major factor! 🤦🏻♀️😂💸💸💸 If I win lotto, it’ll become a lifestyle change in a heartbeat! 🤞😂🍀 Oh bugger...that’s not a very nice experience as a 5th grader but please don’t judge all of us Aussies based on that one kid because we’re a great bunch of people Down Under! Honest! 😂🙏 Awesome that you’re doing an adventure with your sisters! Enjoy! I’ll do one with my mine when I get back albeit it won’t be on a bike as she doesn’t ride but we have wicked travel adventures! 😂🙏👯♀️

Yep! Not one single person knows if we’re going to make it to next year...or even to tomorrow for that matter! I’m so glad I did this journey! Not sure how things will pan out when I get home but one things for sure...this was a massive decision embarking on this adventure and I will never regret even 1 second of it. I’m so glad I did this! 😁🙏⛺️🏍💨
