Here's a poem I recently wrote.
I don't doubt love
I doubt people who judge it.
I don't doubt beauty
I doubt people who can't see it.
I don't doubt imperfections
I doubt people who call them ugly.
I don't doubt emotions
I doubt people who try to suppress them.
I don't doubt Cinderella stories
I doubt the happily ever afters
which don't exist.
I don't doubt people who fly
I doubt people who laugh at their tries.
Yet even after all this
I don't know why
why do I always end up doubting myself

Here’s a thing I wrote idk what it is but:
When I was young I used to dream,
About what could, or would, or might have been,
All vibrancy and bright colors,
Childish hope and naïve wonders,
Beautiful adventures and deep exploration,
A purpose, a knowledge of where to begin.
Nowadays, I still dream, but the colors are all muted,
Drenched in misery, not a clue where to begin,
But still, I hope, I dream and I wish,
About a breakthrough that would help me solve
Everything that infatuates, interests, and irritates me so,
Problems that shouldn’t exist,
Questions with no answers,
All shiny and new, ages old and complex,
Another thing to worry about, another to solve.
But still, I dream, because I know, I promised,
That no matter what, if I am to be honest,
I will go down fighting for a cause, a purpose,
Finding answers to unknown queries,
That I will not rest, until I have won,
I will survive, I will continue,
Carrying on, and then some.

Thanks, appreciate your clear and entertaining tutorial. I’m about to start an Instagram account for my art. Friends and family pushing and supporting me. Never had an artistic bone in my body, then almost a year ago, I’ve learnt of RUclips tutorials and I’m now an aspiring spray paint artist. Also since being in high school, over 30 years ago, I’ve started writing poetry again, and those I’ve let read have connected, and it has assisted and helped them. So wish me luck, I’ll be checking out more of your videos too. It’s great when people share their knowledge. Mike J.

Just found your channel Gary. I have a great love for the written word. I'm so sick of nursing now I want to become a full time writer. Although I doubt I'd make a full wage as a poet, it'll be a start. If I could even go part time nursing it would be a help.

EDIT: When talking about instapoetry being a phenomenon what I meant to say was PHASE. Anybody who still thinks instapoetry is a PHASE doesn't realise how ingrained the poetry style is now.

I am not an instapoet but I am a reader, I do enjoy your channel because you are engaging and entertaining even if the topic doesn’t necessarily apply. I appreciate the genre and agree with your tips...the piece has to have soul and be felt in order to capture the readers attention which is what I appreciate about your work!!

Treasures of Memories stormed her mind
That one person she couldn't find
She hoped and wished everything to be better
She cried bitterly when came the letter
It read; Dear Sir is no more
What a catastrophe she faced at four
She tossed and rolled
She was being told
Don't touch the body coz it had fell cold
She felt dizzy and mourned in pain
Everyone thought she's gone insane
Little did they know
She really felt low
Accepting the consequences
She came back to her senses
Thought to give life a brand new try
Being Eccedentesiast she said goodbye🖤

My question is how can I share my poetry without having to lose my credibility. I have tons of poems and phrases I don't like to post due to people being able to steal my words and possibly making money off of it. I just want to be known for my words. 💯
I am a poetry writer in pakistan i have seen peoples huge fan following those are posting poetry of others while i do make my own poetry and getting nothing !!! It sucks
How much is too much hashtags?
What about copyrighting or people stealing your. I think that's my biggest concern.
A worry for many. And it is a risk. But remember there are time stamps and electronic foot prints to prove the piece is yours. I'll leave you with a common saying... nothing ventured, nothing gained. 🖤

ALOT OF INSTAGRAM POETRY ARE STATEMENTS, POETS ARE THOSE WHO BORN WITH IT, HOWEVER, MAJORITY OF INSTA SUPPORTERS ARE YOUNG GIRL WHO SKETCH THEIR FEELINGS IN THEIR DIARY AT HOME, SO THEY EASILY ATTACH TO ROSES ARE RED AND VOILETS BLUE, REAL POETRY MAKES YOU THINK WITH BENEFITS

But...I write long poems
And that's really great! I'm moving away from instagram myself and writing longer pieces now too. I'm just saying that if you're using instagram to gain exposure there are just certain things you can do that will help with that, and short attention spans are definitely something to consider. Having said that there are always exceptions!
