I've just gotta say that I've tried this method with a few tweaks and yall: I AM STILL BEAT. SNATCHED I TELL YOU. FLAWLESS. I'm usually oiler than an oil slick a few minutes after applying my face makeup, but after trying this method, I'm still oil free after 5 hours! AMAZING. Auntie Jackie came throoooouuuugh!! TheGemCollective has anyone try African Shea Butter or African black soap they are really good but might work a little slow for some people.... however the Shea Butter as SPF in it which is perfect for people who don't use or like foundations with SPF in it😋🙈

this is genius!!!
Just this past two weeks I learned about putting two blobs of foundation. One on each cheek and one on your chin and a small dot on the forehead.
Then you blend it out to the edges of your face. My cheeks are the bits that need more coverage, and around my nose. But my nose gets cakey around the creases. My eyes also get so dry no matter what I do. Except I added an oil into my concealer tube and shoogled it about to mix in. That helps my eyes from being dry and doesn't make it crease or cake on my eye bags.
But the foundation trick is now my go to everyday routine. Just blend it out and it covers every part that needs covered and the good parts of my skin are just lightly covered.
So informative Jackie. Absolutely love this and just confirmed I was doing the right thing to stop the cakey look.
It helps that I also use a cushion foundation and it's my concealer that does most of the work for me.
*side note. Im glad that I kept watching your videos. As one girl once said I couldn't watch you because I was white and you didn't have anything relevant to my skin tone to watch. I call bullshit. Absolutely In love with 😍 you 😘

I feel like a fool. I can't put highlighter on correctly. I know it seems ridiculous, but yes, it is totally possible for someone to be incapable of putting highlight on.

sayhihimimi don't worry, I cannot apply lip liner to save my life. It seems like the simplest thing ever but I just can't get my cupid's bow even on both sides. I've tried all the tricks like drawing an 'x' shape, nothing works! Everyone struggles with something!

that translucent powder then foundation tip has SAVEDT my life. I get so oily on my nose (like frfr, it is ridiculous) though that now I do it in between each step of my base makeup, so foundation, concealer and cream contour ( less powder each step so I don't become caked)! Thank you Girlll

I have this foundation thanks to my twin. Love this product!! I grab for this everyday. I use it as a foundation some days or a concealer on others but don't use it as both on the same day. Whatever you use it for it is a great product. I'm learning how to wear makeup and I must admit thanks to miss aina I'm looking good everyday do to her tips and tricks. If you are not subscribed to her channel you are truly missing out. Be blessed people! 😘
Funny tidbit - The word "Aina" means "Mirror" in Hindi (language of India)... so fitting given you are a makeup artist!

Sam Saad, Ahhh! Maybe you can follow the same instructions, only focus your application on the forehead instead of around the mouth? Just avoid getting it on the hairline. 😊💜
Sam Saad A good concealer can cover anything. I use the wet n wild contour stick for my concealer and it's really good coverage.
imani watkins I stopped wearing foundation this year since my forehead is my only problem area and I have quite dry skin^^ I use the nyx HD concealer only on breakouts on my forehead and under the eyes. But I have to use very little or else it gets cakey. If u have a concealer suggestion for my dry forehead, the would be amazing
i have the same issue! i used to use a brush on my forehead and it got so cakey so i switched to using a damp beauty blender and setting with a damp beauty blender like jackie does and it helped so much! and like everyone else said, avoid packing product around the hairline :)
Sam Saad I used to have a super dry, acne ridden forehead. I spoke to someone at ulta who helped me and explained that makeup was going to cling to those patches. Also, it's all about the skincare. Talk to a dermatologist and find a routine that works for you, making sure you exfoliate and moisturize before applying anything. Also, the makeup you're using, NYX, may be causing you to breakout more. I recommend you try the tarte double duty beauty empowered hybrid foundation, which is currently on sale at ulta. It's super hydrating and minimally clingy on dry spots while giving nice coverage. Tarte has really nice, non-irritating products in general that I HIGHLY recommend.

Blair L It works well if you use it over a slippy primer and with a damp Beauty Blender. You can also sheer it out with moisturizer or use a facial spray like the Mario Badescu one under it. You just have to figure out how to use it. I have dry and dehydrated skin and it just gives me a flawless matte finish.

Chioma Orji: In addition to getting samples from Sephora, they also have a very generous return/exchange policy, even after the product has been opened and used. Ulta and I believe most other department stores have a similar policy as well. Just save the original packaging + receipt and don't feel discouraged to bring it back for a different product or your money back if you're not satisfied :) your used product will eventually be put to use as their sample and tester refills, so it won't just get tossed out.

Nars sheer glow foundation is the best one I have tried so far. Even though it says glow it works well on my combination skin. The coverage is great without feeling like you have on foundation.
Caitlyn Carter try LA Girl foundation, I think it's fairly new however you need to set it! Otherwise I think it's a good inexpensive alternative
Caitlyn Carter Loreal Pro Glow is amazing for combo skin. I have combination skin as well and I love the way it looks, feels, and lasts.
Caitlyn Carter the new wet and wild foundation is insanely good for only 5 bucks!! I have really bad combination skin and it doesn't make me look like a grease ball and doesn't cling to my dry patches. It's so good and it's medium coverage that can build up. It's amazing and looks so natural
