For years I have practiced to not respond to what my husband says, when he is nasty, because he is a narcissist. But by not saying anything he thinks he is right all the time. But I don’t communicate with him for at least 3 days. The first day I am cross, second day I am so hurt, and the third day I get afraid he will leave me. Then I always make up even if it was not my fault. All this is not the answer for me either. But better than to lash out. But he is a narcissist and that is how thy manipulate people .
