In my opinion, Chapter 5 had the strongest themes out of any Fortnite chapter and also had the best cosmetics. Even though that doesn't directly translate to gameplay, I'd still argue that adds value. People buy the battle passes for a reason. But in terms of gameplay, it was really hit and miss. Underground felt like a chill season with a fantastic variety of items, Myths and Mortals only had 2 Greek weapons, only 1 of which was ever useful at any point, Wrecked was a bit dry and then Absolute Doom absolutely DRENCHED the game in ridiculous weapons, especially by the time Fortnitemares hit. Also Remix had a Boom Bow, rocket launchers, the rap god minigun, the shockwave launcher, snipers, boats, choppers, semis... Really drove home what people were praising CH2S2 for. And yet despite everything, the game still had this sense of sameness to it. Like every season was being put through a mold with the exception of Wrecked. Despite my misgivings with Wrecked, if Fortnite didn't decide to go off the rails like that I would have probably lost hope that the game would every really try anything different. So even though the gameplay experience was definitely middling, Wrecked, for all its flaws, was the most fun I had all chapter and gave me a spoonfull of hope for Fortnite's ability to innovate on the gameplay and keep things fresh. Overall, this Chapter was good. Solidly good. Needed some improvements, sure, but I would fight anyone who says that Epic did a bad job with it.

Manifesto didn't bring the halloween stuff, and there was a somewhat reason for the remix season The rift beacons did. Some of them got destroyed, and some malfunctioned during the doom event, and the malfunctioning ones accidentally brought the halloween reality stuff to the island. Also, one of the malfunctioning beacons caused the prelude event and brought us to the remix reality/chapter 2 remix map
The thumbnail? Immaculate! The editing? Well paced! Audio quality? Hell yeah it does! My only complaint is that compression kinda screwed you on the gameplay

Soooo i started playing fortnite last year in december during chapter 5 season 1. I personally enjoy the game other than fortnite remix and season 4. Both seasons felt like ads but fortnite remix felt just lifeless, no good lore or story to continue with, and not to mention the game is more broken now imo. I loved chapter 5 seasons 1-3 because it felt unique and refreshing to play compared to other shooters. I think fortnite was onto something during season 4 to an extent, buuuuut it's still full of ads. Not to mention that epic wasnt listening to fans in regards to the jet packs. I seriously hope season 6 will be good and not a broken mess
The reason why you didn’t think too much about the change to movement speed is because you are a zb player. So many builds moves(such as a basic side jump) became impossible due to the lowered movement speed and it overall made the game sluggish
Yeah as a casual player I absolutely hated Wrecked. Playing both builds and zero build honestly felt miserable because of the cars, nitro fists, medallions and the battle pass. I don’t think I liked a single thing about this season, not the map, not the guns, story, and certainly not the cars. Had me playing a LOT of Reload, the bullet drop in BR just wasn’t fun so I’m glad Reload came along to keep me interested until season 4
listen, i wont deny that chapter five had issues, in fact it had a lot of them, from it not being hitscan, to the insane mythics that were in the game. But man i did have a lot of fun in it with the gun options(thunderburst made me burst), the movement options(as broken as some of them were), i even had fun with the new modes also lets be honest, the artstyle change comes from the fact that they switched to unreal engine, and went hogwild with its look
I'm pretty sure the reaper sniper had almost no bullet drop at the start of the season. Then they nerfed it, which make the bullet drop EXTREMELY fast.

I started playing during the last month-ish of Myths and Mythos, and I really liked it and I liked Wrecked as well (Besides the first week with overpowered cars and the Magneto power). The Marvel season imo was the worst for me as much as I like Doom, the Shield Turret strat was essential or you just lost. I really liked Remix strictly besides hitscan on snipers, as fun as they are to use, they don't feel nearly as rewarding as bullet drop snipers and headshots were too easy and always killed if you weren't fully healed. By the way, this is coming from a Switch ZB Solo player.
The one story video i found explains the remix map as its own reality after the big bang like the new metaverse modes. For how we got here yeah no idea
Idk how you cant feel the difference in bullet drop and hit scan. Every gun just doesn't feel good to use or is just bad. While with hit scan you could use any gun and absolutely wreck everyone.

That Reaper sniper transition was perfect. THANK YOU!! I felt like I was insane for liking Wrecked! The thing about that season is that it felt like it was primed for co-op, especially with the car mods. So that's exactly what I did, and I had so much fun with it! I will send you guys to OG, where you can live free and happy and keep thinking that Jonesy is currently the face of Fortnite now... when infact Hope from their hated chapter is now the new face of Fortnite. And I LOVE Hope. Hope represents the new generation of players that joined for the fun and casual nature of the Battle Royale. Yes, just as casual as me and my long distant buddy Matt aka @6amerBr0. Shooters were not my forte genre over a DECADE ago, Racing was and still is. But as I got to play more titles across the 12 years of gaming - I wanted to see the side that I avoided for so long and see what makes it tick, especially with how popular the whole Battle Royale Shooter being popular pretty much around when lockdown struck. I built up to Fortnite by playing a couple of other types of Shooters. Splatoon was the first with the whole 4v4 battle shooter with paint which I like to the point that I slept the remainder of Splatoon 3's content seasons and skipped out off on the Final Fest. Hitman with Hitman 2 and 3 with the whole stealth gameplay, and now Fortnite with Battle Royale and its platform with its creativity of players making good games that makes Roblox feel like a kids game... which it kinda is. If you ask me what game I dominate well and have the most fun in, it's Just Dance - the game that I have played since the passing of my mum back in 2014 and 10 years later, my dad, my next door neighbour and most recently my 20 year old cat named Pepper passed (that one hit like a ton of bricks with 3 weeks of stress with a body and 1 week of processing and relief). It's like losing a friend, but Just Dance has been a pick-me-up with a boundless amount of escapism and an endless amount of maps from PERFECT to X levels of hatred, with a side of jokey maps for all sorts of players including kids songs, troll songs and even freaking SPONGEBOB!! Jeez! I am 4 months older than Spongebob and Just Dance KEEPS MARKETING THIS SONG TO DEATH THIS YEAR!? Ahem, anyways. my personal story aside. What are my thoughts after playing through Chapter 5, my first chapter of Fortnite? It was a rollercoaster, but I REALLY enjoyed the themes of each season... except the fourth one because I don't watch or read enough Marvel to really appreciate it to the point of BUYING every hero that comes from Marvel. Also, Lizzik was my guy for the season... he looks goofy and adorable and yet another character that I want to go bang bang in bed. Yes, I am that sort of funny with anthro characters. Oscar was my main dude in the first season, Cerberus was second season, third ended up being Chaos Explorer and CSREMIX is Brite Raider in her Cold Fusion Super Style to mimick the Rifted theme. Season 1 for me - New Beginnings/The Society, Season 2 - Billie Eilish (love her), Season 3 - Rock Station (with Metallica), Season 4 - Pop-infused (with Karol G) and CSREMIX - Rifted. My favorite season out of all FIVE is most definitely Season 3's Wrecked. Much like James Bond, I played the living daylights out of it and had LOTS of themes that I liked. The whole wasteland theme, Metallica as a whole - which is a bonus because prior to that I only knew Enter Sandman, Fall Guys and even Pirates of the Caribbean enters chat which I straight up buy the Event Pass + both Elizabeth Swann and Davy Jones. July to September has been nothing but Pirates of the Caribbean to me. Seasons 2 and 4 were more like burnout seasons for me. When you play so much of one thing, it gets stale after a while and you would need a break. I completed well over half of the battle passes for those two, so it was more... meh. Myths and Mortals, mwah... I enjoyed it well with kindess and with the ridiculousness of getting blasted by players who use WINTERFEST OUTFITS!? I am STILL traumatised from the first kill that I recorded and you can check only Seasons 1 and 2 of My Moments on my channel. Season 3, maybe... Seasons 4 and CSREMIX - not enough recordings. I will do better next Chaper. The current CSREMIX that is wrapping up, definitely my second fave of Chapter 5 even though it went only for 1 month. I got to experience what the early chapters are like with Chapter 2 with the mechanics and map and it went so chaotic that I can now see why it is a beloved season + how freaking misleading Pleasant Park is. I love the changes they are doing to the Pass Systems with changing to XP instead of Stars, Studs and Notes, which I got to see what that is like with the Music Pass for Festival Season 5 (aka Snoop Dogg). Love the season and getting to experience music from ALL Hip-Hop artist of past, present and future... except Eminem which Festival should *REALLY* do something about it and starting adding his Jam Tracks, WE WANT PAIN!? The only note I would give to Epic is to REALLY buff up the amount of XP you need for the Music Pass, but knowing them... that is probably going to be the last time it'll look just like Collab Event Passes. Anyways, Chapter 6 Season 1 is HUNTERS and we're going for more traditional Japanese. Hope looks stunning as always being the succeeding face of Fortnite and finally get Jonesy some lovely retirement, and we have freaking GODZILLA and BAYMAX. This is crazy. I am getting Big Hero 6 practically 5 months before that season even comes to Disney Speedstorm, and that will be Season 13... right after December-February's The Incredibles and March-April's TRON. I am more excited for TRON bye the way.
Chapter 5 is a very controversial chapter. Imo, absolutely pain with Battle Royale, but the rest is alright. Ch5s3 is my favorite. By the way. The Greek Gods skins are more Fortnite theme than Greek mythology theme. There one of the best battle passes to date. Why leveling up in myths and mortal season so hard? One of my favorite parts of this season was that they never got rid of a biome, by the end there was like 7 biomes and the variety was amazing.

So that's exactly what I did, and I had so much fun with it! I distinctly remember playing duos with a friend and trying to land the battle bus onto Loot Island!

The Content Creators that talks bad at how Chapter 5 because they have been playing with hit-scan for too long? I will send you guys to OG, where you can live free and happy and keep thinking that Jonesy is currently the face of Fortnite now... when infact Hope from their hated chapter is now the new face of Fortnite. And I LOVE Hope. Hope represents the new generation of players that joined for the fun and casual nature of the Battle Royale. Yes, just as casual as me and my long distant buddy Matt aka @6amerBr0. Shooters were not my forte genre over a DECADE ago, Racing was and still is. But as I got to play more titles across the 12 years of gaming - I wanted to see the side that I avoided for so long and see what makes it tick, especially with how popular the whole Battle Royale Shooter being popular pretty much around when lockdown struck. I built up to Fortnite by playing a couple of other types of Shooters. Splatoon was the first with the whole 4v4 battle shooter with paint which I like to the point that I slept the remainder of Splatoon 3's content seasons and skipped out off on the Final Fest. Hitman with Hitman 2 and 3 with the whole stealth gameplay, and now Fortnite with Battle Royale and its platform with its creativity of players making good games that makes Roblox feel like a kids game... which it kinda is. If you ask me what game I dominate well and have the most fun in, it's Just Dance - the game that I have played since the passing of my mum back in 2014 and 10 years later, my dad, my next door neighbour and most recently my 20 year old cat named Pepper passed (that one hit like a ton of bricks with 3 weeks of stress with a body and 1 week of processing and relief). It's like losing a friend, but Just Dance has been a pick-me-up with a boundless amount of escapism and an endless amount of maps from PERFECT to X levels of hatred, with a side of jokey maps for all sorts of players including kids songs, troll songs and even freaking SPONGEBOB!! Jeez! I am 4 months older than Spongebob and Just Dance KEEPS MARKETING THIS SONG TO DEATH THIS YEAR!?
Ahem, anyways. my personal story aside. What are my thoughts after playing through Chapter 5, my first chapter of Fortnite? It was a rollercoaster, but I REALLY enjoyed the themes of each season... except the fourth one because I don't watch or read enough Marvel to really appreciate it to the point of BUYING every hero that comes from Marvel. Also, Lizzik was my guy for the season... he looks goofy and adorable and yet another character that I want to go bang bang in bed. Yes, I am that sort of funny with anthro characters. Oscar was my main dude in the first season, Cerberus was second season, third ended up being Chaos Explorer and CSREMIX is Brite Raider in her Cold Fusion Super Style to mimick the Rifted theme. Season 1 for me - New Beginnings/The Society, Season 2 - Billie Eilish (love her), Season 3 - Rock Station (with Metallica), Season 4 - Pop-infused (with Karol G) and CSREMIX - Rifted.
My favorite season out of all FIVE is most definitely Season 3's Wrecked. Much like James Bond, I played the living daylights out of it and had LOTS of themes that I liked. The whole wasteland theme, Metallica as a whole - which is a bonus because prior to that I only knew Enter Sandman, Fall Guys and even Pirates of the Caribbean enters chat which I straight up buy the Event Pass + both Elizabeth Swann and Davy Jones. July to September has been nothing but Pirates of the Caribbean to me. Seasons 2 and 4 were more like burnout seasons for me. When you play so much of one thing, it gets stale after a while and you would need a break. I completed well over half of the battle passes for those two, so it was more... meh. Myths and Mortals, mwah... I enjoyed it well with kindess and with the ridiculousness of getting blasted by players who use WINTERFEST OUTFITS!? I am STILL traumatised from the first kill that I recorded and you can check only Seasons 1 and 2 of My Moments on my channel. Season 3, maybe... Seasons 4 and CSREMIX - not enough recordings. I will do better next Chaper.
The current CSREMIX that is wrapping up, definitely my second fave of Chapter 5 even though it went only for 1 month. I got to experience what the early chapters are like with Chapter 2 with the mechanics and map and it went so chaotic that I can now see why it is a beloved season + how freaking misleading Pleasant Park is. I love the changes they are doing to the Pass Systems with changing to XP instead of Stars, Studs and Notes, which I got to see what that is like with the Music Pass for Festival Season 5 (aka Snoop Dogg). Love the season and getting to experience music from ALL Hip-Hop artist of past, present and future... except Eminem which Festival should *REALLY* do something about it and starting adding his Jam Tracks, WE WANT PAIN!? The only note I would give to Epic is to REALLY buff up the amount of XP you need for the Music Pass, but knowing them... that is probably going to be the last time it'll look just like Collab Event Passes. Anyways, Chapter 6 Season 1 is HUNTERS and we're going for more traditional Japanese. Hope looks stunning as always being the succeeding face of Fortnite and finally get Jonesy some lovely retirement, and we have freaking GODZILLA and BAYMAX. This is crazy. I am getting Big Hero 6 practically 5 months before that season even comes to Disney Speedstorm, and that will be Season 13... right after December-February's The Incredibles and March-April's TRON. I am more excited for TRON bye the way.

Chapter 5 is a very controversial chapter. Imo, absolutely pain with Battle Royale, but the rest is alright.

The Greek Gods skins are more Fortnite theme than Greek mythology theme. There one of the best battle passes to date.
