    I have the Green Sumo and I always catch myself looking it over. The pepsi colorway looks pretty sweet in the Sumo case

    Sumo must be the most comfortable dive watch I ever had, it hugs the wrist beautifully. It's better than the MM300 wearability wise.

    This one always seems to be available at a cheaper price than the other colours for some reason, but I really like it

    Right on all counts! 6.75 in wrist and I absolutely love my Sumo! I upgraded mine to the MM300 clasp and to me it’s now perfect!

  • @surfitli

    Very nice. I have the Blumo.
    If they update the Sumo, there is going to be a price increase. Right now, it’s the most affordable 6r15 dive watch.
    The case is finished really nice.

    The crown is an original sumo crown, sourced from watch parts plaza, in case anyone was wondering.

    Rob your absolutely right about the fit of the watch . Big watch that wears small . With the fit and finish of this watch it screams quality 😀👍🏻

    That case shape and the lugs just blend (flow) into the strap, which helps it look like a much smaller watch on the wrist🤔
    Thanks for sharing 👍🍻

    IMHO, the best value proposition Seiko offers at present. With the speculation on the SARB's, the Sumo can't be beat. Another great video RR!

      @R A lol, coincidentally I'm wearing my Samurai now.

    • @makon2012
      @makon2012 5 лет назад

      @R A I like the case on the Sumo slightly more than the Samurai. I do think the 4r35 is a more consistent movement than the 6r15.

    Hey Rob, I was hoping you might have the answer for the mod related question. If I have a skx and a turtle and I wanted to swap the dial, hands and movement. Is it as simple as taking the movement with dial and hands attached then placing it in the new watch body? Or is it more complicated like needing new crowns ect... Thank you in advance!

  • @1968jpy
    @1968jpy 5 лет назад +3

    Rob I know Mike and almost was sure that’s his watch because of sapphire crystal and signed crown . This is awesome to see his watch on your video. I own a Blumo as I’ve told you before. My absolute favorite. I guess I’m a Sumo guy like your a monster guy . To me Seiko best watch 😀👍🏻

    • @RandomRobReviews

    I really like that pepsi Sumo. I think the unsigned crown is cool. At first it put me off buying it but now I like that its unsigned.
    I bought the blue coral Sumo. The green Sumo is nice too and was hard to pick one between those two.
    Pity crafter blue discontinued the yellow Sumo strap as it looks great on the green Sumo and I wanted to try one on my blue coral but I can't find one anywhere. So its either navy blue or royal blue.
    Although I think the original bracelet is fine and I have no problems with it. Pin and collar is a good system. Stamped clasp is nice and thin for comfort and less bulk.
    The only thing as you all know is the Sumo is not easy to buy straps for due to the big lug gaps it leaves with straight end straps.

    • @e28forever30
      @e28forever30 3 года назад +1

      I own the blue coral edition too.
      Beautiful watch!

  • @MrIliff
    @MrIliff 5 лет назад

    The blue case back sticker is handy to stop the inner clasp scratching the case back. I tried to leave my new Sumo blue sticker on but after a few days of wearing it peeled off. So yes be careful as you can scratch the case back with the bracelet.
    I only have a 4r36 padi turtle and my new 6r15 Sumo. The Sumo is running a little fast. Its just about 12 seconds fast now over almost 2 weeks. My turtle was always on the slow side so its nice to have a fast watch.

    I've noticed that there are Pepsi Sumos with signed crown and others with unsigned crown.Do you know why,and maybe where to get the one with signed crown like yours?
    Thanks in advance :-)

      The newer ones with sapphire don't have signed crowns for some dumb reason! But you do get a 6R-35 movt!

    Sumo is an absolute winner, but a bit of an 80% watch - lacks sapphire and pressed clasp. Aside that, a total winner.
    I suspect Sapphire goes on the new model, along with a price hike...

    The Sumo bracelet is AWFUL! So... since the Sumo case is supermodel gorgeous, just put it on an Uncle Seiko waffle or chocolate bar to show it off and call it a day.
