Hey Attorney Tom, You said in your last video "if I ever commit a crime I'll just be hiding out in an Arby's" would that be admissible evidence as an exception to the heresay rule as a confession?
im genuinely surprised Attorney Tom hasnt reviewed any of the final destination movies to see if there are any wrongful death lawsuits, seems right up his alley in terms of the kinds of deaths the movies portray
Yo that's a quagmire I would be excited to see in detail. I grew up on 160 acres. Our neighbor did corn and alfalfa. 100% By himself. If someone told him not to repair his tractor he would have laughed.
USCSB was the channel. WorksafeBC also has some good work accident stuff as well, such as "Worker Pulled Through Woodchipper", and "Fernie Memorial Arena Incident Animation" which was very similar.
There have been a few times watxhung your vids where I've thought "ha, that was humorous" but that look at me *[quick cut to eye patch scream]* made me LOL out loud. (Yes, I know)
Speaking authoritatively is an essential aspect of being any kind of litigant. If you practice and have the opportunity to effectively use various Scholar's Cradles, do so as well.
State of Georgia v Denver Fenton Allen- i.e. "judge morty, created by tiarawhy" , the fully animated version (instead of animatics by creators)....best recreation of a court transcript and I assure you its hilarious and makes the case for points you make often. Skip first 28 seconds of intro
This is interesting, in Moldova which uses the French style of Justice. It's the other way around if the prosecution arrest you that means they know you're guilty and its the burden is on Defense to prove you're not
Counselor Tom ... I see a folded VA flag in the background. As a former AF dependent (all 18 years of my childhood) who now has her Dad's VA flag in a case and hung on a wall ... may I say thank you for your Veteran's service and I assume for yours (as a dependent)? We dependents serve alongside our active duty members - for however long they serve. My dad was AD from the time he graduated from ROTC in 1968 until 1988. His father was on the USS Saratoga during WWII. I have a cousin on that side who is a Navy dentist. My family on both sides has military service or military supply dating back to before 1775. Some of my Quaker ancestors arrived in Jamestowne in 1608 abd while they didn't fight, they supplied tge Continental Army. On my mom's side we came on the Mayflower's second sailing and they DID fight for the Continental Army. Hugs, brother (or nephew since I'm 52). Show that VA flag with pride.
If you want to watch these actors. They left studio c and started Jk studio for reasons they say on there new channel. They are working on a second season of a show called Freelancers. In my opinion they are better than the new ones
I think it’s crazy that there’s a guy like you with such good content with so few views. (Also you should do something with Lyle on this channel maybe?)
Yo great video. I have a suggestion. Maybe a video on Jurry nullification? Maybe a reaction of a real court trial could be interesting? I would definetly click quick on either. Edit: just saw nullification video. Very interesting
The kind of end-of-sentence speech pattern that sounds like a question in English is called “upspeak” - a rising inflection at the end of the sentence. Try a lower tone or even tone at the end of a sentence if you find yourself doing this and see what kind of difference that makes.
@attorneytom watch "the night of" is such a great series and is only like 8 or 9 episodes. And every episode has enough wild stuff that you could give your professional opinion on. In any event, much love big dawgg
Represent me in court no charge! Represent me in court no charge!Represent me in court no charge! Represent me in court no charge!Represent me in court no charge!
You should check out a video called "Massive Court Corruption- Defense Attorneys conspire against their client" It's a very telling video and shows what I believe to be blatant corruption within the system. I saw some other Attorney channels cover it but I feel your opinion and view point would be the best!
Studio C is Mormons. You can take that however you want to interpret it, because it's just a fact, and you don't know then you won't realize that until you have watched a few of them.
My first clue was the BYU logo. My second clue was how funny it was. That's the polite way to say it. The impolite way to say it is mostly the same, but with an n't at the end.
@@charlesrense5199 Yeah, there's something always a little off about them even if some are sort of funny sometimes... I don't even think this particular one was a "sort of"... When the guy jumped the table to attack his own lawyer, I stopped the video. It was too much. That was just goofy childish silliness, you can't make comedy when you're not firing on all Pistons of the objective truth, and in this case some of those Pistons are things they would never speak of... In all serious though, it's a little bit impressive just because they are Mormons, like it's pretty good given they are Mormons. I wouldn't say they have a whole lot of competition in that regard... Things that are funny (and I mean in the way they're intended, mind you) while also pushing a religious agenda are pretty much nonexistent. I mean I've heard a few preachers here and there with it opening joke that might give you a little chuckle but that's about the extent of it.
Speaking of the Supreme Court, can you react to actual, Supreme Court hearings/Oral arguments? I'm talking some of the more famous cases in recent history, like Obergefell vs Hodges?
How do you think the whole rpm act (anything with a vin can not be modified) will affect peoples rights under "freedom of expression"? If there are any laws that give you that right?
Please watch Courtroom - SNL "A lawyer (Donald Glover) defends Jurassic World theme park after the deaths of park visitors" and tell us what your strategy would be for either side of the case
The writers should have come up with statements that were more ambiguous. The actor was forced to just inflect upwards at the end of the sentences. It didn't work as well as it could have.
Sounds more confused than sarcastic tbh. Also, I wouldn't know, but I suspect if a lawyer or lawyer-in-training had something like this that they truly cannot help and have no control over, like their speech always sounding a particular way or some sort of disability (actually, you could consider this a disability if he can't control his tone at all, or at least potentially a side effect of a disability), they'd probably have a whole thing letting the people involved in the trial know what's up so that things can go smoothly for everyone and they're all on the same page and all that. At least if that disability needs to be explained and actually impacts the trial or communication in it, anyway. Probably not the case if it's a disability that doesn't have any impact or need for explanation or clarification like being in a wheelchair or being autistic (the latter can need some of that just in social interactions for friends to understand what's going on with someone or know to point out when they're getting caught in a loop of saying the same things over and over but probably not so much for a trial). But I feel like something like this would get some sort of explanation given to everyone involved, as it impacts communication, which is crucial for a trial.
Studio C has way more court related stuff, like “Worlds worst lawyer” they are all hilarious
If they make a remake of that make Tom the lead role
Tom needs to see this one, and Shotgun court.
Worst lawyer ever is fantastic loll I also love impartial jury
Shotgun Court is a great one
The best is the second amendment one easy
Given that he has a speech impediment and is being held in contempt for it, isn't this a violation of the ADA somehow?
Probably not..? I think it goes into "if you cant do it. You shouldn't be there" type situation could be wrong
Can I say that as an optician I am proud of you wearing your glasses consistently 👌
Would be kinda funny to see a collab with AT and Dr. Glaucomflecken
You pull off the "ring light reflection in glasses" look quite well
As lovely to see you post as ever
I loved the old studio C crew, glad they didn’t completely quit completely though.
Studio C is fantastic. Highly recommend, especially their earlier stuff.
Yeah the new cast is dog water
They are hilarious but I disagree with their views.
So basically like SNL? Used to be funny but is now absolute dog sh*t?
Key and Peele Judge skit is funny
Title: This TV Judge is Overqualified.
Studio C is comedy gold. I would love to see you react to more of their videos
Hey Attorney Tom,
You said in your last video "if I ever commit a crime I'll just be hiding out in an Arby's" would that be admissible evidence as an exception to the heresay rule as a confession?
And if a police officer sees him in an Arbys does that count as probable cause to assume he has commited a crime?
Yesssss I’ve been watching Studio C for years! And this is one of my favourite sketches of theirs!
The original Studio C was the best, you can't change my mind.
True
This begs a very interesting question - do speech impediments in real life have a significant impact in real trials?
Day 1 of asking
AttorneyTom to dropkick a baby

Just wondering if you would talk to Louis Rossmann about the right to repair movement?
Have a great day today

You should do some more of the oil refinery stuff from that channel 👍

This is called the Australian rising inflection. It's where we say a normal sentence and it ends up sounding like a question because of our tone?
I called your law firm and the guy at the front desk wouldn't let me talk to you
“He is?” Made me spit irl tho 😂
I demand an anime tier list
There have been a few times watxhung your vids where I've thought "ha, that was humorous" but that look at me *[quick cut to eye patch scream]* made me LOL out loud. (Yes, I know)
Tom: ...what I lacked in experience I made up with..
Bravado?
Tom: ...preparation.
Ohh..
Kids in the Hall has a few good sketches, like "Until proven guilty," "Jury", "Justice", and I think 1 or 2 more.
And frankly they're all way better than this sketch. I mean, it's kith, so it's top tier by default, but I didn't think this sketch was very good.
Court Cam: Man Tries Playing Mind Tricks with Judge - the title sort of speaks for itself
Ludwig sues OfflineTV is a pretty chaotic court sketch I think Tom would enjoy breaking down
Speaking authoritatively is an essential aspect of being any kind of litigant. If you practice and have the opportunity to effectively use various Scholar's Cradles, do so as well.
Studio C is great, the older studio C
Attorney Tom so famous I’m getting lawyer ads on his videos

I'd recommend the Studio C bike/pedestrian court case sketch.
Studio C is incredible. They have tons of great skits. Think SNL but no musical guests and they're actually funny.
