Spring Day: Glad you felt this song and the emotions. If you knew the whole song while looking up the meaning and MV and explanation, you'll be more amazed. Let's say get some tissue ready. This song was released soo many years ago but still topping on the charts in Korea as of today... this may be one of their biggest hits!!
I still cry every time I hear it.
Also for this song, RM has stated he wrote the song about missing friends but the MV was created, as mentioned below, to be a statement about the Sewol Ferry tragedy in South Korea.
And though it's not specifically BTS, a Korean network called KBS has a yearly series called "Immortal Songs" where famous Korean singers of different genres sing popular songs and cover them in their particular genre. in 2020, the series was honoring Pdogg who is BTS's main producer so the theme was several of the songs he produced for BTS, one of which was Spring Day. The artist Song So Hee did an absolutely haunting version of this song. I believe her genre is traditional Korean music that has the yodel/vibrato sound. Spring Day is about a tragedy that occurred in korea when dozens of students passed Way. It referes to the pain that the survivors feel. Until These data it remains at the top ones
They are just unbelievable also when I hear them singing spring day live and even knowing the meaning and the way they love all army's ...i just cry so hard 💜
JK, introvert, sings in his own world with closed eyes. J-hope, V and Jimin, extroverts, all get up to dance at the same time in Save Me.
Btw, most of the dance steps in this video were spontaneous, not from the mv choreo. In Save Me, Jimin and RM making prayerful gestures 🙏 at the end of RM's verse - that is from the mv choreo, to express, "Thank you."

We don't even see BTS until 15 seconds into the video...and at the 27 second mark, J-Hope is already out of his seat. Took just one of them all of TWELVE seconds to stand up. This is what happens when you train a group to dance for YEARS, then make them sit down to perform. LOL

Hi, I am back. Good reaction. Ty. So glad you enjoyed this. This was fun. I always have a good time listening to this. JK is the main singer for a reason he steady af! Hobi is sub vocal of course he dang talented in this too. JK can harmonize with any member perfectly. I think JK just likes a challenge and needs it too. =0p Jimin sounded like an angel! They all killed it. Dynamite was given to Army during pandemic to give us energy, Save Me they gave to us because we are all struggling and need to be saved and they acknowledge this with this song, UwU, and Spring Day gives us hope but also lets us know that we lost ppl at this time and we some of us are still in shock and grieving. Suga's verse (and maybe a lot of the song) has been said to be about a friend he lost to drug addiction. He talks about this same friend in his song "Dear My Friend" on his solo mixtape D-2. There are even allusions to Spring Day in that song. Apparently this person went to prison and Yoongi went and visited them quite frequently.

Just a heads up on Spring Day, there's an Explanation video presenting one theory about the meaning of the song. I prefer the interpretation of the song by reactor Jordan Orme. Just be aware that there is more than one interpretation. To my knowledge, BTS has never definitively taken a side in any explanation.
Jin said in an interview that the song was about longing and also was made to give comfort to their country, which means the theory that connects the song with the sewol ferry tragedy it's a valid interpretation.
The members also personally reached out to the organization of families of the students that were fighting for justice, bts and bang PD were not afraid of being black listed by the government then for donating.
They are indeed commendable human beings and we thank them a lot for creating such a powerful and meaningful song.
