Here is what Matt Tuck said about You Want A Battle? (Here's A War): Tuck revealed that one of the songs featured on "Venom", "You Want A Battle? (Here's A War)" is about being bullied - something that he experienced a lot while at school because he "was not a really cool kid. I was into heavy metal music and had long hair."
Tuck wrote the track to reassure fans that bullying "happens to everybody, and it's not a nice place to be when that happens. It took me a long time to actually pluck up the courage mentally and physically to stand up for myself, so it was kind of momentous moment for me. I had lost all these battles in my young life, and all of a sudden I was growing into a young man. I was able to stand up for myself and defend myself, and the band actually became something big and special and just like the biggest ‘fuck you' to everyone. That's what that song's about, really. It's about going through hard times and coming through the other side."

Correct. "Bridges" do just that: bridge sections (usually verses and choruses) together.
Yep, it's a pretty stellar part of the track. My favourite is still the intro / post-chorus bridge. I would not be disappointed if the song were actually all or at least almost all like that / those part(s).

this is looking very promising, unlike a lot of people i didn't mind temper temper (though i do agree that is was the worst album they made, it wasn't as bad as people made out) but this does look like its going back uphill, BFMV really needed to make something good after temper temper and i think they have done it
yaacov benjamin I agree! I loved Dead to the World, Saints & Sinners and Not Invincible. Great songs for sure! But some of the album was pretty cringe worthy I guess, but still nowhere near as bad as everyone over dramatized it to be
While the album as a whole was good, the solos were so out of place and broke the comfortable pace of the songs. If not for them, the album would be a much closer worst than it is.
Yea I hear you on that! What I miss most from bullet is the harmonized riffs. But they went more thrashy for Temper Temper. Really raw sounding. But yea, Bullet's held up to such a high standard. It would be solid as some other generics band's album :b
Yea I liked temper temper and like you said it was their worst album but it was still very good. I liked breaking point, truth hurts, tears don't fall pt 2 and POW. But still this albums looking fucking maddddd!!!
yaacov benjamin My biggest issue with the Temper Temper album is that its just super corny and the lyrics of some songs are very unoriginal. My favorite songs are actually Dead to the World followed by Tears Don't Fall pt 2. Musically I love the album, lyrically I can't stand the album.

I think so far, No Way Out takes the crown as the best song they have released from this album. However Raising Hell was a great start, and this song kicks major ass! Love the vocals, the very very old style bullet, and just the overall direction of how this album is going. These three songs collectively have been better than Temper Temper all together, and with this newest single, BFMV is showing that they are going to release their best album yet since SAF, let's go!

Tbf i love all 3 songs, yeah this one is a bit lighter but it's showing there's gunna be a good variety. Very likely than another track on the album could really hardcore heavy and break your ears (hoping for it!!) like off the poison but yeah im loving this album so far can't wait for release plus seeing them live in October 😀

Scream, Aim, Fever? This is a well needed return to form. Closer to my favorite Bullet Album ever released (Scream, Aim, Fire). Here's to hoping this trend continues with the rest of the album. BULLET IS BACK!!!

Love this song, and I'm so glad there's a pure audio version, because while the video is a work of art, it's also potentially triggering and therefore something I can't share with my survivor friends.

Well, that cheesy chorus spoiled the whole song. Also there are a lot of BFMV songs about some kind of bullying and much better ones, too. "No way out" is really something, especially with its crazy pace. "You want a Battle?" looks like a step back.

Every album they do always has "heavy-but-radio friendly" songs, which usually end up being the singles. They're a band, it's their livelihood, they HAVE to have at least a couple songs that cater to their respective radio stations otherwise they get no promotion.
Remember "Scream, Aim, Fire"? Remember the singles off that? They sure as hell weren't as heavy as "Ashes of the Innocent" and "Last To Know".

Masquerade Life That's interesting...... because I did feel like these new tracks have this slight selling out vibe to them, not something i could put my finger on but more like something is missing and more like them trying to be something. Maybe that is why you are missing the rawness of the original bullet material, the way they were talking I was expecting something similar to that and then some... however this does feel a little forced. It seems like hem trying to force Fever to be something else (If that makes sense)
Mark Shiel Bullet has never been strong with lyrics or had any rawness, the only actual difference is they have better production than they did with the first album.
