One of the major issues I see in our generation is “Egocentrism” and “Self centred thinking”. It has deeply hurt our relationship with Allah as well and our philosophy of life overall. Most of us now think “what can Allah do for me” rather than “what can I do for Allah?”. People ask so many questions like: - “why my duas are not answered?” - “why did I not get that job?” - “why am I not getting result for my hard work?” All such questions revolve around “why Allah did not respond to me?” Why don’t we ever think “why didn’t we respond to Allah?” Or “Am I fulfilling Allah’s rights?”. We are not offering namaz, we are openly disobeying Allah, we are not acting on His commandments, but we believe it’s our birthright to get our duas answered and it’s our birthright to question Allah. Allah cannot be questioned, but we will be questioned. Allah is our Lord. What have we done for Allah and His deen?
The Prophet ﷺ said If one of you finishes from the last Tashahud, Then he should seek refuge with Allah from four things: he says: اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ، مِنْ عَذَابِ القَبْر، وَمِنْ عَذَابِ جَهَنَّمَ، وَمِنْ فِتْنَةِ الْمَحْيَا وَالْمَمَاتِ، وَمِنْ شَرِّ فِتْنَةِ الْمَسيحِ الدَّجَّالِ Allaahumma ‘innee a’oothu bika, min ‘adhaabil-qabr, wa min ‘adhaabi Jahannam, wa min fitnatil-Mahyaa wal Mamaat, wa min sharri Fitnatil-Maseehid-Dajjal O Allah, I take refuge in You, From the punishment of the grave, And from the torment of the Fire, And from the trials and tribulations of life and death, And from the evil affliction of Al-Maseeh Ad-Dajjal (Sahih Al Bukhari )
Virtues of fasting on Mondays and Thursdays Abu Qatadah al-Ansari narrated that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was asked about fasting on Mondays. He ﷺ said: “On that day I was born, and on it the Revelation came to me.” (Narrated by Muslim, 1162) ‘Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: The Prophet ﷺ (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was keen to fast on Mondays and Thursdays. (Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, 745; al-Nasai, 2361; Ibn Majah, 1739; classed as saheeh by al-Albani in Saheeh al-Targheeb, 1044) Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Deeds are shown (to Allah) on Mondays and Thursdays, and I like my deeds to be shown when I am fasting.” (Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, 747; classed as saheeh by al-Albani in Saheeh al-Targheeb, 1041)
Shaddad ibn Aws narrates that the Prophet ﷺ said; "The most superior way of asking for forgiveness from Allah is to say the following dua. If somebody recites it during the day with firm faith in it, and dies on the same day before the evening, he will be from the people of Paradise; And if somebody recites it at night with firm faith in it, and dies before the morning, he will be from the people of Paradise.” اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ رَبِّي لا إِلَهَ إِلا أَنْتَ خَلَقْتَنِي وَأَنَا عَبْدُك وَأَنَا عَلَى عَهْدِكَ وَوَعْدِكَ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُ أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا صَنَعْتُ أَبُوءُ لَكَ بِنِعْمَتِكَ عَلَيَّ وَأَبُوءُ لَكَ بِذَنْبِي فَاغْفِرْ لِي فَإِنَّهُ لا يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ إِلا أَنْتَ Allahumma anta Rabbi la ilaha illa Anta Khalaqtani wa ana abduka, wa ana ‘ala ahdika wa wa’dika mastata’tu, A’udhu bika min Sharri ma sana’tu, abu’u Laka bini’matika ‘alaiya, wa Abu’u Laka bidhanbi faghfirli fainnahu la yaghfiru adhdhunuba illa anta O Allah! You are my Lord! None has the right to be worshipped but You. You created me and I am Your slave, And I am faithful to my covenant and my promise as much as I can. I seek refuge with You from all the evil I have done. I acknowledge before You all the blessings You have bestowed upon me, And I confess to You all my sins. So I entreat You to forgive my sins, for nobody can forgive sins except You. (Sahih Al-Bukhari)
i don’t get the part when you said if you even get questioned once it’s bad, no human being is perfect? they have all made mistakes i’m sure wether it’s big or small

The title is very deluding.
Allah is more important, the whole lecture/sermon is about Him.
