Over here does the han tribe refer to modern day uiyghur or turkic people? I'm asking since I heard that in history consort rong was recorded as an uiyghur whose original name was Iparhan
Yes I do think so Consort Rong is based on the real life one, but I think because of tensions in China, they couldn't accurately show her ethnicity and opted to make a fictional tribe, Han to make up for it. The same goes for Story of Yanxi Palace drama, their Consort Rong character is renamed as Consort Chenbi who's supposed to be Muslim I heard but like before they couldn't accurately portray this ethnicity and skipped over the details.
