Oh hell yes. I adore qotsa. They are forever in my top 3 with Tool and Nine Inch Nails. The order changes constantly but always my holy trinity. This is such an interesting album. I didn’t care too much for it on the first spin, but I saw 4 shows on this tour and I was in the love with all the songs by the end of show 1. Looking forward to this journey with you!
This is a Halloween Night album. Especially this song-it's a song to get murdered to honestly, it's sludgy but not at all less intense for it, and it's DARK as all get out. Brooding and menacing, this song feels like it has such an undertone of malice behind it. Am I crazy?
Absolutely brilliant thanku so much ...whooo lets go ...such incredible talent thanku love your fabulous reaction thanku so much love and God bless always x
Yes there was some Thom Yorke solo songs I believed that were used (and I know some Radiohead). Thom Yorks solo work is something I've never dived into. Might be something for the future 💯
@@Skullzrapper QOTSA has a song called “Burn the Witch” too. Billy Gibbons was a guest on it. Legendary story, Billy created the riff with his magical beard. 😁
This song is so poignant and gritty. When you feel so overwhelmed and dissonant, and try to carry on. To me, at the end, when he says, Praise God, nothings as it seems”… I think that’s an admission that his thoughts and feelings have been not the reality aka *too* grim P.S. check out the bass on “Misfit Love”
You are speaking my language. “Misfit Love” is my absolute favorite QOTSA song. The drums are irresistible. And Josh dances every time they play it. He says it’s his favorite Era Vulgaris song.
@@lindacoy7165 the Henry Rollins appearance where they played it has been on repeat for years. It’s so groovy and rugged ;) plus he doesn’t swear in God’s name ❤️
As you’re going through this album, mate… think of the track listing as a soundtrack to Josh Homme’s (singer) descent into death and then being resuscitated - actually happened. This is him dying, next song is him waking up in the afterlife… etc etc
One more thing Skullz. I sped through this album today. Dean is a madman and so chill Also- this album is one that’s hard to describe but I’ll try. It’s not how you would imagine “Go With the Flow” I’m sure you’ve heard that. On this album, for instance, they collaborated with Elton John, among many others. As an album, it portrays its purpose pretty clearly. It’s somewhat of a “ballad” type album. The stuff that you’re reminiscent of in clutch moments. But, ALOT of their stuff is “garage band” rock, just in their own way. So funky. So good. Needless to say, I wouldn’t bring this *specific* album to a deserted island, but their first album is coming with me
Not a fan of QotSA, not a listener, but here for the Skullz journey! The vocals.... That Thom York or Muse-type delivery & tone hits me the wrong way. I dig their riffs and groove, though. Who knows? Maybe I’ll convert. 🤘🏼

This is NOT Puscifer! While I love qotsa especially the villains album literally nothing compares to Existintial Reckoning, Puscifer's latest album. Best shit ever.
Queens of the Stone Age are hugely underrepresented in the RUclips Reaction community. I'm so glad you're doing this
i know right.. finally! lol
I think it's because a lot of RUclipsrs seem to have issues with the rights and monetization 💯
@@Skullzrapper ahh..makes sense.. keep up the good work!
@@scrabs9 Appreciate the support 💯
Fuck yeah dude. These guys are artists. They don't chase a genre. This album is all over the place and those places are REALLY good.
Love to hear that! 🔥🔥🔥
I read that comments boost the RUclips algorithm so I'll be commenting more often. Quality reaction content like yours deserves to be seen.
@@briancoller7760 Means a lot to me bro! You're right, they help a lot 💯🙏
Man I’ve been hoping you would do this album. I would be all for you eventually getting to all of their albums.
Same
Probably my favorite QotSA album. Enjoy this journey, it's a fun one.
Okay. Rewind, rewind. 💙
I have always appreciated Josh’s voice. And the sound they create is very unique.
So glad you're reacting to some QOTSA. I guarantee you will not stop after this album. These guys are in my top three.
An album I never get tired of hearing.
Here for it 💀🎶🤘🏽🙋🏻♀️✌🏽
Much love Christina ❤️🤘🔥
Such a badass creative album ... excited to do this one with you!

Not a bad track on this album. My favourite QOTSA album and in my top ten all time. Look forward to your journey with this one.
These guys always put so much effort into their albums. I do believe burn the witch was used in the peaky blinders, maybe others too 😁

This song sets the tone for the whole album. This album is my absolute favorite of all time start to finish. It’s a whole vibe.
I think you will find each song on this album a surprise. This song harkens to their stoner rock origins
Josh is one of the coolest dudes on the planet .
Songs For The Deaf is one of the best albums ever heard... And coming from a TOOL fan it's a huge compliment!
Please start with the self titled debut! Phenomenal band!
Check out Kyuss, the lead singer and guitarist band before Queens

I thought Jon Theodore recorded this album on drums?
I think Jon Theodore only drummed on the title track. The rest were Dave or Joey.
I am informed. It is Joey on this track. My apologies. Dave grohl is a great drummer.
@@mybrotherjames8579 Absolutely
I think Josh also plays bass? I mean I know he does but I'm not sure if he is the bass player for queens or if someone else does.
The bass player is currently Michael Shuman, Josh only played bass in the band after former bassist Nick Oliveri was kicked out of the band
Very excited for this series. Incredible album.
So glad you pick them! Enjoy!
