- In 'Cadeaux at the Chateau', all of the inhabitants of the Chateau de Lalande gather together to receive the beautiful gifts that people have sent from all over the world. I used to show the gifts as part of 'The Chateau Diaries' episodes, but you're all so very generous that we have many gifts, and if we spent the episodes opening them, we wouldn't be able to show you other aspects of chateau life! So, for those of you who enjoy watching presents being opened, and as a way to thank those of you who were kind enough to send them, I've made this new video series. Every now and then, we will film your beautiful gifts whilst enjoying afternoon tea or aperitif together.
It is very important to me that you know that we in no way expect anyone to send us gifts. I would like to go further than that and add that, if doing so will put you in any financial difficulty whatsoever, please, please do not send us anything. Knowing that you join us by watching 'The Chateau Diaries' gives us all an enormous boost. But for those of you who have sent these incredibly thoughtful gifts, I hope that seeing us open them gives you a fraction of the joy that you've given us 💖💖💖

Ok, Tomaz, your Mom, is not only so talented, but a wonderful woman on her mission of helping those less privilege even for important things like sanitizers. She is amazing on even painting masks,so gifted and a beautiful woman she must be. She raises a wonderful son.

But it's even better because they keep all the things. Personally, I couldn't cope with owning it all.
I live in North Carolina and have been to the Biltmore Estate many times. It is amazing and beautiful and one of my favorite places to visit. It is in the beautiful mountains of NC and Mummy would love it since it has the most beautiful gardens. They have evening candlelight tours around the Christmas holidays which is so lovely. If you happen to visit you must go to The Grove Park Inn which is near there in Asheville and either stay there or have a drink in their lobby by the huge fireplaces and enjoy beautiful views of the mountains. 😊😊😊

Stephanie, before you frame all the wonderful pieces of material/scarf have some prints/copies on cd made so you can make postcards or name cards for your guest. : ) peace

🍵 How about a signature Chateau tea blend in a tin? Maybe a mixture that contains flowers & such from their own region. Something that they can serve @ Lalande too. (They could even sell tea strainers & petite tea bag plates.)
♻️Find a printer &/or tea leaf supplier that is environmentally friendly & sustainably produced🌐. Recycled cardstock &/or responsibly grown tea leaves that could be a part of their brand identity.👍☺

Gail Craig , If the gloves are like mine, the pink part is a waterproof, rubber like substance that the gloves are dipped in. I believe they had them on correctly. 😃

@@joniyoungart He is and I just love him. He was on the right track. When you think about how large we are (USA) it's reasonable for people to have vague knowledge about our geography. When I was in England last time and mentioned I was from Oregon, the person next to me said, "Oh, isn't that near Florida!?" I just had to laugh because most Americans are terrible at our own geography, let a lone other continents and countries. I have even had to tactfully educate some that had no idea that England was an island across from France. Alas, we can not all be experts at everything for sure but I do know that Scotman is expert at funny!
@Natalie 1234 So true. I have spent time in 8 countries but have only lived in 4. There are so many places yet to travel to. I would not drive when I lived in England for fear of turning into the wrong lane! The public transport is so much better there than here in the states.

Did you know that Mummy is conpletely in one eye and partially blind in the other eye? I think this makes what she does even more amazing and her driving the mower even more scary.

I visited the Biltmore when I was a child in the heat of the summer. Needless to say I did not appreciate it then but would love to visit as an adult.
