Filmed on a DJI Phantom 3 Professional Drone.
Time-Lapse at the end, Nikon D5300, Tokina 11-16mm Lens.
Settings are : D-Log. ISO 100. 4K @ 30 FPS, Shutter 60,
PolarPro ND-Filters used 8,16,16-PL, 32 Filters.

Mallorca is a small island but however there are a lot of stunning places in every corner.

This video has been my single biggest inspiration to strive to keep learning and improving. I've dabbled in photography as a hobby for years and very recently bought a Phantom 4. I'm very intimidated by the vast amount that I need to learn, but seeing results like this is inspiring.

Loved this film and it brought back memories of losing my Phantom 1 in the same bay with all the boats in March this year. Dud battery and poor preparation resulted in a swim down to the sea bed but it was too late. Salt water and electronics etc.. Have myself a Phantom 4 now so hopefully many more memories ahead. Great video.
That's unlucky mate, Well the P4 is an excellent replacement choice so you should be much safer next time round. I have a dud battery on my P3.. only managed 30 flights out of it.. Always gotta run those pre-flight checks. Cheers!

There's plenty of chance.. Just the small matter of expenses. Probably looking at least £2-3K in expenses to do it properly.. Might plan one for next year, Capturing the 4 seasons would be great.

Fantastic video. I'm a drone videographer and this video inspired me. I have the same setup as you except I have the Phantom 4. What metric do you use to know when to use which grade of ND filter? Also fantastic color-grading!
Thanks mate! The colour grading is really just very subtle tweaks nothing major ;) For the ND Filters I just usually know by looking at the natural light. As long as your not over +1.0 exposure it should be all good. Very bright day = ND 32, Normal Sunny = ND 16, Overcast usually = ND8.
Spectacular video. What do they say, destination, destination,destination! Just wondering i've got the same kit as you but was wondering what do you do about batteries when flying?
Thanks! Regarding the batteries: Take them as a carry-on with you half to 30% charge. Have each battery in it's own clear plastic bag or you could buy some Lipo safe ones off eBay. Take controller with you too. Been on 10's of flights all over the world - no problems yet.

loved the time lapse ending with the sun setting really really cool, think it could of been a little shorter in general though.
Thanks for watching dude! I cut the song down already from it's original length.. there's really no way to make it shorter with the chosen song. Repeat less of the same footage.. Yes that would be possible if I had it 😉👍🏻

How many days of filming was this? Great lines. Great use of lighting. Beautiful foreground/background moving shots. Color grading on point. You sir, are a master.
Cheers Robert, very kind of you to say.. It was probably only really 4 half days of filming.. I actually had Tonsillitis for 10 days when I got there 😷 and was very ill..But I'm happy with what I got given the circumstances.

Hi I tried my new phantom 4 today, I'm a complete newbie to drones, what I filmed was very jerky and a lot of lines and lost feed which was also present when watched on tv later, any ideals? I'm using a galaxy tab, regards Andy.

Beautyfull Video, what do you need for taking the drone with you in the airplane & do you need for the Lipo battery the Lipo safe bag and how many Lipo Battery can you take with you in the airplane? THX
Hi there, I take the Lipo's as 'carry-on' I've taken 4 but you can probably take more. I also make sure that the charge is around 10% on each battery. Each battery in it's own plastic bag. Hope that helps.

It's strange how the 60 shutter speed came up really nice...whenever I use anything lower than 800 it's comes up choppy...I'm a newbie so maybe I'm missing something.

hey man do you have the raw footage?
Unlock the gimbal to achieve 30 degrees higher in the DJI settings. Then
aim the camera all the way up, fly backwards at full speed, and slowly
pan down for a very cool shot! I think you should give that a try! Check
out my "Midwest farm" video at .22 seconds for a reference! Happy flying!
