I completely threw grand finals, I forgot I didn't touch the ground and thought for some reason I had a double jump in the moment. I looked so dumb doing that, but at least I had alot of fun there, hope there will be more in the future.

I'd like another tournament with some other stupid rules, like doubles with a twist, and every single time a match is played a wheel of all the twists done yet gets spinned and whatever it lands on, that twist is the one. Amiibo doubles, where you can bring 2 amiibos and do a doubles round. Handicap battle, where its just a normal tournament setting but every single time you win a set and move on, you start at 20% and the next one 40% and so on. So eventually you will be in grand finals starting with 300%. Hopefully you like this!
EDIT: I did not expect so many people to like these ideas, i got them by walking up the stairs lol.

@@XillyWonka He did an amiibo match, but amiibo doubles is a whole other beast. Or, what about an amiibo 8 player smash with 4 teams of 2? That could be even wackier. But regular doubles would probalby be easier to set up

It’s good when you deviate off the rules a bit. One thing that could have easily held this back was seating. Glad they didn’t do it.

The funny thing at the end of the finals was that cloud was player 6, came in 6th place and was out at 6 seconds.
I know this probably wasn't intentional, but the implication that the match was rigged goes so well with Cogger's "Collusion" shirt.

I was really rooting for that incineroar, but I appreciate how characters aren’t one giant hurtbox and as they perform their moves, their hurtbox changes with them

I stayed up all night to watch this from East Coast USA. It was well worth watching the tournament player combo of Poggit1 carrying the Underdogs.

Im not usually a competitive and tournament fan but this one was really enjoyable to watch. Hope theres more tourneys with wacky rules coming in the future
this is the only timeline where cogger wins a tourny, this man had to get the infinity gauntlet and steal the time stone from dr strange to make this a reality. which just makes this even more impressive. cogger is the next big marvel villan.

Poppt1 dying in the first set and Cogger coming out on top is such an incredible twist
Idea: Tag Team Doubles Tournament. It's doubles, but the twist is that the match is a 1v1 where both players can choose when they want to pass their controller to their teammate in order to get in some unique mix ups in order to win. Please consider this idea, I believe it has potential to make a super memorable tournament.
They may have lost their matches, but the Incineroar and Sonic went absolutely ham.
