Greetings from Finland. You should defenately listen to something he sings in Kazakh... like Unforgetable Day (Gakku), Omir(Dimash &Mansur), Adai+Daididau (there is a backround story to the song), Qaragym-ai (2020) and Samaltau. His way of delivering the songs so emotionally is just unique. Even if he makes a mistake (he rarely does) he makes it sound also perfect...like All By My Self in New York when he forgot the words

Dimash's first language is Kazakh, he didn't learn Russian until he started school as his family only spoke Kazakh at home. The Dimash here is far closer to the Dimash we see at his concerts where he becomes a stage beast. His single performances always seem to be a slightly muted version of himself where he can't "let loose" as much as he can in his solo concerts although his stage presence is always extremely high wherever he is.
Then clearly he has a talent for both music and languages. I honestly thought he was bilingual from birth and that he spoke both Kazakh and Russian always. He surprised me here, really. I'll keep watching more of his videos / performances and get to know his stage persona in time. Thank you for sharing that.

You know, Dimash actually has many faces and sides (50 +😂) So many, that his fans sometimes are taken aback. Yes, he is very nice, well mannered, but he can also be stubborn, adamant and still willed, believe me. If someone tries to force him to do something against his will or violates his privacy. Yesterday he turned 30 years old. His native language is Kazakh and Russian is his second language. I like your reactions, good luck!
Oh, I thought both Kazakh and Russian are his native languages. I mean Kazakh makes sense given that he is from Kazakhstan, but his Russian sounds like his mother tongue as well. I don't know enough about him, but even at 30-ish he kind of looks 15. Somehow I preferred the other two I listened/reacted to. So far. I know there's a lot more, so I'll keep watching. He allows himself to be the bad guy on stage sometimes, he also has that element. He can be funny, cheeky and flirty, as well as serious, passionate and dramatic. You have to see him in the MVs of When I’ve Got You and Be With Me to appreciate his bad/sensual side. He is the first to admit that he is not a dancer, but he is trying (for the sake of his fans/Dears) and we appreciate it. I think he can be good at anything he turns his mind to, because he is so hard working and a perfectionist.
Oh, hun, I don't think it's a Dimash problem. I think it's a me problem. I'm just a bit too old to see him that way. I could literally be his mother, so even if he's bad/sensual, it just looks cute to me. Along the lines of "oh, look that cute little boy, the girls must like him a lot" 😉

Perhaps you may prefer Love is Like a Dream (composed by Igor Krutoy) which he sings in Russian. At any rate, I’ve enjoyed all of his songs which often times touches my soul. Hi Alex! Here is another original pop song by Dimash, where he fleshes out the bad boy role a lot more. It is hard to buy Dimash as any kind of a bad guy, he's so nice and humble, and as you said he looks so young.
