Jesus as a word was embedded subconsciously in his psyche from childhood because as he said, he was born into a deeper life family. It's very difficult to get rid of such imprints in one's psyche. Like most Africans who find it difficult to accept that Jesus was a colored man or that the ancient jews were black, even though there is valid and physical evidence to support that. According to my family history, my great great grandfather, the man who I never knew did change his IFA related surname when he converted to the religion imported from a foreign land. I myself also changed my IFA related middle name to an English name.

You don’t have to be Yoruba and you can study Ifa on your own. Late Professor Sophie Oluwole wrote extensively about Ifa and Yoruba intellectual, her books may be hard to come by, but there are videos on RUclips. As you seek knowledge of Ifa, please use discernment, just like any profession, there are shady people.
