I've never come across the word "esemplastic", and I've been reading Aristotle in English for over 20 years, in Greek for over 10. Again, where are you finding the stuff you're referring to
I'm not sure where you're getting your notions about Aristotle or "Aristotelian" from . . . but I gotta say: you're throwing in so much jargon, and jumping from thought to thought with no transitions, that this Aristotelian is having a tough time even figuring out what you're saying in these comments
Should reparation be considered a prima facie duty? Prima facie duty is something that should be specifically particular to people that have just met, right? Prima = Primus = First Facie = Face. First impression, no? Just wondering what others think.
He actually writes an acknowledgement that his prima facie duties are neither prima facie nor duties. It doesn't mean first impression, it more means at face value or intuitively. You have mistaken this I think, all the duties can apply to people you have known for years.
Yes, Ross does say in the work that strictly speaking they're not duties -- they do reveal what our duties are to us, however. I tend to look at those passages as not particularly helpful, particularly for those engaging the material for the first time.
Yeh, I was just highlighting the other commentors mistake by taking prima facie literally and as a result wrongly. Thank you for these videos by the way, they are extremely helpful for my studies.

You're joking, right? Prima facie has a pretty specific meaning in Ross' thought. That's what the video is about.

Hello, it is still not clear to me what is Ross' critic to Utilitarianism in a nutshell. Thanks in advance!
