WOW, I struck by how often Larry Page expressed worry about protecting us from the governement bad eyes. What can we do to help Larry Page We really appreciate your efforts to stop CENSORSHIP!
It's truly awesome to see someone in his position have the attitude that he does toward making the future happen. Unfortunately, it's still sad that there's no mechanism in place to socially connect either these people or similar resources with the millions of creative minds that would be the equivalent to Larry Page if given the opportunity.
Google can't afford to hire anyone and everyone that looks promising, so unless people were volunteering to work for free, he won't get all the smart people that want to work for him Todd McKissick. If however, people were provided for, say, with a GBI... well then hey may have tens or even hundreds of thousands of volunteers. Pick anyone with potential and let them show what they can do. I know I'd sign up if I didn't have any bills. I'd work for Google for free all day long.
That may be true, ***** but not everything can be done with just larger numbers of volunteers. Some solutions require very specific assistance. For example, maybe access to a certain lab is needed. Maybe it's connections to industry players. Maybe it could only take off if completed under the radar so it's not squashed by entrenched interests before it was commercial ready. Even my own solutions have garnered virtually zero 'non-close-friend' support because of the limited amount of technical information I could publicly provide to back up the claims made to elicit volunteerism. Take a look at www.indiegogo.com/mirrorsolar . That one raised a whopping $600 in 45 days of my heavy social promotion. (Granted, I'm not good at that!) I think the problem was/is that until it proves itself in the market, most people dismiss it as not viable. This would be the case for every great breakthrough in history as well, don't you think?
Henry Wyatt Yeah, I noticed his trachea and how it looks like it, and his muscles are working extra hard to transfer breath into sound..However, his brain more than makes up for any physical limitations he might have! =^)
I remember Bill Gates once asked what good an Internet balloon will be to a child with malaria. I believe this talk is a good reply, with better access to the internet and the world's information, the child, her family and community can have a better standard of living and she may not even have been infected with it in the first place..

Larry makes a good point about companies. Too often we only view them as a way to make money for shareholders. But in fact they are so much more than that. Companies are an established way of human collaboration. If we can create more of them that work for good then the world can be a better place. I think some of Silicon Valley have this vision. Its good to know.
Most chess players, like me myself, now are very familiar with AI in chess programs. Not a long time ago machines used to be a challenge for us. We liked to watch our idols play the machines and win. Today, not even the best chess player in the world can beat a good chess program. Machines have become too good at the game. They are like gods to us now. We learn from them, we respect them, we love them. Its interesting to notice that, although they are not truly intelligent, chess programs have played the game in a highly creative style, showing us new ideas, point out problems with concepts that used to be dogmas in the chess world. You can learn a lot from machines in chess. They have revolutionized the play and opened our minds to fantastic ideas. Now imagine all this evolution happening in other aspects of life. 20:05 yeah and the "don't be evil" policy was removed a few years later. Nothing like getting backhanded by your own quote.
Had no idea Napoleon Dynamite was based on Larry Page
In my opinion, Larry Page as CEO of Google beats Zuckerberg. Larry Page is an incredibly innovative, visionary who wants to change the world and Google is much better than facebook in this respect
I hope Google's next job is changing the comment system back to normal.
I need to ask Larry why did they really remove the dislikes count, and what is his true feelings towards the issue..
Where is google going? Have you heard of SKYNET??
Larry became my sweetheart ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️...I love you soo much dear ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Seeing his Adam’s apple move like that made me feel uncomfortable idk why.
He’s a hero. Wish him the best.
So glad these biggest succesful companies have ceo's that have the kindest attitude
Awesome interview. I think we see what makes Google so amazing and different when we watch something like this. Not focussed on making money, but on enriching lives and bringing hope and innovation to everyone. All the best Larry Page for the future. Keep up the good work.
To 'everyone' Cameron? You should stay in more, and read about the world.
Christ, pick your jaw up.
Does anyone know where I could find a similar jacket? Thanks.
FUCK Google. They're the next Monsanto as far as I'm concerned. Evil.
I got Google ad before this video 😂
22:43 "He wants to go to Mars, to back up Humanity" Talk about a company moto!
It should give answer to questions like. Where is the coldest point in USA today. Where it rains now in India. It should live connect to that location. Cheapest airfare to London today and cost. Etc.
Larry's childlike sense of wonder is not an act. This is the reason he is successful. I don't know for sure, but he seems like a Zen Buddhist, or possibly a Chaote....
Basically, "Google is trying to become an extension of you and your senses and knowledge."
Really inspiring and humble man!!
Aloha!Brilliant! Although it would be more than wonderful if there were accual people to speak to when one is having problems with thier Android. Frustrating when sent to web-site and plenty of them, instructions are complicated and not in layman terms. Google+ has been more frustrating than anything because of this hole in direct communication. Kudos Larry! Great talk! Anyway way to fix this? Many others encounter same problem. Mahalo nui loa.
Just great! Love this!
I did not expect him to sound like that, but at the same time I'm not that surprised.
Where Google is going is Skynet.
?
fred bill Skynet then Terminators :D
haha
He's so damn SMART. His mind is on a different level. I respect him for that, because he reminds me of myself.
Artificial intelligence must be handled very carefully... they can easily outsmart humans which is a very big problem
+Barani Prasath (Maniac) nickname maniac eh?
+Hashim Serag El-Deen yup o.O
No...no AI can't outsmart humans easily. Humans are making it, do you know how hard it is to outsmart someone smart?
+Vladislav Boshnakov do you know how easy it is for a computer to carry out the programmed tasks? unlike humans they can perform the task with zero distraction. if you program a computer to learn it will learn forever without any distractions... eventually it will easily outsmart us
+Barani Prasath (Maniac) lol
If people shared more and often would there be wars, Imagine that
How it started - "Do no evil" - Where it is going - "Doin' evil."
Video insynch with Audio please
