    I been rucking with super heavy loads in budget packs my whole life with no problems. It's all in how you prepare the load. That Tidewe pack looks way better built than my old used hiking packs I buy off ebay. It should serve you well.

      Obviously it’s not going to have all the premium materials but it seems to have a bunch of features that really make it functional especially for the price

    I bought the same pack to use this fall for elk. I know one thing tho.. I need to build up to that kind of work!

  • @dad3562

    Nice! Does the pack move forward away from the frame in order to haul out meat?

    • @seansoutdoors
      @seansoutdoors  2 года назад

      If I understand you correctly, I'd say yes, although I have a hard time picturing what you are asking. In other words, the wording you've used is not how I would word what I think you are asking.

    I just bought this pack and got it in the other day going hunting tomorrow hoping to do a pack out but I've never done a pack out how exactly did you load the meat on to that pack?

    • @seansoutdoors
      @seansoutdoors  2 месяца назад

      I bring contractor bags and put the meat into contractor bags. Oh, I should also say that I debone the meat so it is easier to fit more. If you quarter it you may need to make two trips. If you debone it like I do you can just line the pack with the contractor bag and fill it as you take meat off like as if you were putting it in a trash can.

      @@seansoutdoors okay I was wondering I bought this pack and I thought there would be a way to put the meat on the load shelf kind of between the shelf and the bottom of the bag but it seems like that would be impossible

    Great timing! We put in for CO for our 2nd year. Hopefully drawing First Rifle. Last years pack didn’t cut it. Do you drop camp or is your pack strictly for packing out meat?

    Curious to see what your thoughts were after using it this fall? Did it hold up well and hold everything you needed? How was the pack out?

    • @seansoutdoors
      @seansoutdoors  2 года назад

      I did not end up drawing my elk tag so I did not go on that trip. It is hopefully going to happen this coming fall. However, I really like this pack a lot and am extremely happy to have it for that purpose.

    That looks like a nice pack there with extra much needed external straps !!! The Cabela's line of Framed packs work well too.... The Alaskan & Prestige frame with an 80liter pack does well.... $100 for frame & $150 for the pack. . . Alps also has the budget Commander X line & more expensive Xtreme line

    Thanks for the review! I am thinking about this pack for grandson for our backpack trip this coming July. Question... I saw a review on Amazon that said the frame is steel not aluminum? Is this true? Thanks!

    • @seansoutdoors
      @seansoutdoors  2 года назад

      It is very light so I assumed it was aluminum but I will have to look when I'm home and let you know. If it is steel, it's some super light steel!

    • @WKR79
      @WKR79 2 года назад

      @@seansoutdoors Thank you! I will be surprised if it is steel!

    • @seansoutdoors
      @seansoutdoors  2 года назад

      @@WKR79 I just checked. I am not sure. It does not feel like aluminum, and so maybe it is some grade of steel, but I would not have thought steel upon feeling it. It is also painted so you cannot see the actual metal itself.

      @@seansoutdoors I see. You wouldn't have a magnet handy to see if it sticks to it, would you? Probably doesn't matter, I think I am going to order it anyway but now I am really curious! :-)

      @@seansoutdoors I noticed the bottom of the frame bumps my butt left and right. I am 6'3", 210 lbs, I would like the risers higher so I have more of an angle from the top of my shoulder to the riser connection, if that makes sense. I have the risers pulled all the way in, I am trying to get this closer to my back. It is almost straight, I would like the risers to go up at a 45 degree. I am tryng to get the waist/kidney strap higher. I just had a test 3.5 mile hike with 45 lbs loaded in it.

    You completely skipped over the best feature of this pack and that is the ability to remove the pack and use the frame to haul game.
