On a weird note, executive function impairment is a lot like what you describe adhd, but the few differences is with EFI-getting your thoughts out of your head and on paper or sometimes trying to explain them to others can be difficult. Also trying to focus on more than one thing at a time or trying to do multiple things at once like many school assignments literally shutdown the brain and mimics depression. It makes you not want to do really anything until your brain can recuperate. EFI is very common and gets mistaken for adhd and can’t really be helped with medication.
