If you are playing billiards the first to reach 150 points wins then it can be a more dangerous game than snooker because one slip and who you are playing against could make a break of 150 which means you won't even get another chance to get back to the table even if your score is 148
I will not reveal the rules, tactics and strategies playing Billiards, you can go study and practise at your own cost and peril. The game is Usually for us Public School Gents and those went to Top Military Universities and Served as Commissioned Officers in the Armed Services. Some crap do creep in and are forgotten.
First time ever watching billiards, just wondering, once they're down the top end of the table why do they not just continuously pot the red every time it gets re-spotted, why even bother trying cannons or going in off, is there a rule against it??
I really don't know why I posted this, I don't remember doing so. I must have been either drunk or a right knob 3 years ago. I apologise. Obviously Peter Gilchrist is a fantastic player as proven by his achievements in the game.

Can someone please tell me what does the 'up' in 1500up refer to? And what's 'down'?
1500 UP means 1st to 1500 points from 0 thats all, I play in a billiards league and we only play 0 to 100 up

you can play 15 consecutive shots on the red before you will have to use a different variant of shot.

David is some player--he came to our club in Carlisle and made a break over 400 ---but that doesn't make Gilchrist a mug?? he is a brilliant player!
had the pleasure of playing peter in 2006 in vienna. he was a very humble and respectful man. Fantastic teacher as well. DEFO NOT A MUG
