    That uniform/hoodie is TNG Star Trek right there. I just saw the Kett chase seen through the scourge too. Im loving this game already. On the downside...the architecture is simply bland and far too human to be considered alien and from another galaxy. Couches? Plant decor? railings? Little water fountain decors? Where are we Vegas?

      You should read into stuff about evolution. In an environment humans can live well, evolution result will always be a humanoid (if everything goes well) looking not too much different. That also means, similar aesthetics. They will even know the meaning of Zero as a digit and will also have the same vocal characters (a, e, i, o, u), though they might use different symbols.
      For that they may even have similar designs for practicality and comfort.

    • @feebleterrance
      @feebleterrance 7 лет назад +10

      Yeah, but in the context of these games, humanity had gone through first contact like 10 times at this point - the Turians, Krogan, Asari, Salarians, Quarians, Batarians, Hanar, Volus, Vorcha, Elcor - this is kind of 'been there, done that.' And in the context of EA, they wanted to squirt this turd out as fast as possible, because 'been there, done that,' but also because '$$$, 8==D~'

    • @Delsanar
      @Delsanar 7 лет назад

      Yeah but this was a hallmark option to really ask about the Jaal from you know their leader. Rather than second hand from your companion.

      Plus when you talk to Jaal later on the ship, he is quite reluctant to discus their history or race right away. They expect you to earn their trust.

    I don't think this game is terrible but the fact their able to understand each other so easily is ridiculous.
    Their are translations in mass effect but this is a entirely undiscovered new language explored by a different species in a different galaxy. No machine, established aliens, or human should be able to understand these new species the Angara so easily. You think Their would be a scene where the aliens give the pathfinder something to understand them better.

    • @CupoIis
      @CupoIis 7 лет назад +17

      Of course - Ryder has SAM, which seems pretty capable at deciphering alien languages. But I doubt that a few sentences would be enough already to translate ANYTHING. (Especially since it's indicated that Ryder's the first human to make contact to the Angara.)
      I do hope this gets explained afterwards or somewhere in the codex.

    • @FFGirl76
      @FFGirl76 7 лет назад +14

      Bioware said it was translators. So I'm assuming that the translators they came with can adapt and the more a species speaks, the more it "learns." Or, ya know, space magic translators work too. LOL

      Most plausible theory so far. However, I'm wondering how Ryder wouldn't pick on that and reference it somehow. I guess we'll see, maybe the devs just forgot to add some line which will be included in the final release :)

    for those who are wondering how the angara understand their language before Rydens arrival is that the exiles and the Angara had met one another way before They arrived to the planet.
    So the Angarans have had over a year to learn human lanaguage

      Yes, Jaal is romanceable. Rumors say he's romanceable to both male and female ryders but this hasn't been confirmed through gameplay or the devs yet. But we do know people who have played female Ryder found him very responsive to her flirt attempts.

    • @JordanJumpin
      @JordanJumpin 7 лет назад +1

      I hope he is, the only romances I'm interested in r Jaal, vetra and peebee

    • @Astralaeyna
      @Astralaeyna 7 лет назад +2

      Well, here is hoping. But worst case scenerio if Jaal is only receptive to a female Ryder people will likely just have to play female Ryder. Not the same, I know. But it is what it is. On the other side of the spectrum, however, most Angara can't seem to distinguish the difference between male and female humans so it might not make a difference to Jaal. We will only find out Tuesday (Thursday for UK), if someone tries romancing Jaal as male Ryder, or if one of the devs opens their mouth.

    Wow...brand new alien race in an entirely different galaxy, lo and behold they're an advanced bipedal race that just happens to have a mastery of the English language? Sweet Christmas, is this for real? So like, do they listen to smooth Jazz or Country? Do they know what a rim job is too?
    I just can't with this game's writing....

    • @CouchCit
      @CouchCit 7 лет назад

      Cool story bro, but ya see waaaay back in ME1 they had interesting/non-humanoid alien races in the Milky Way like the Elcor, the Hanar, the Keepers and Volus....it's not that hard to interject a little originality and creativity. It baffles me that this is what they chose to do with such a clean slate. But I guess that's what happens when every staff meeting starts with the someone yelling "JETPACKS! WE NEED JETPACKS SO I CAN PEWPEW IN MIDAIR!"
      RIP ME/RIP creativity

    • @CouchCit
      @CouchCit 7 лет назад

      Oh yeah for sure, I never said that you said you didn't like em, wasn't even trying to hint at it.
      "...it has to do with complacency on part of the creative leads, and a desire to appeal to as broad a playerbase as possible"
      Precisely, you hit the nail on the head. Trust, i'm an oldie myself, born in 80. I played ME1 on the 360 as well, and I played KOTOR before all the hype while my daughter was still in her mother's womb. Those were good days, days when not every game was trying to be the Last Action Hero AND an RPG AND an open-world sandbox, at the same damn time (ugh). I was one of the 1st to point out to people that ME games ALWAYS had "the Bioware Jank" with pretty bad faces and animations, it was my primary gripe with those games.
      As for the writing, I'm not a sci-fi expert and i'm sure there's tons of better stuff out there, but for the sci-fi-light folks like me, ME1-3's lore combined with the mature writing was phenomenal, and critics agreed. I "fell in like" with the series the moment I 1st read about Element Zero and the mass relays (well more like listened to the narrated descriptions while that awesome ME music played in the background...yet another feature missing from ME:A). Once again, it amazes me how they took a blank slate like Andromeda and came up with such mediocrity that in many ways insults our intelligence and loyalty, but maybe [hopefully] they have something majorly impressive in the works.
