Hey David, it does have regen in Normal, but it's not very strong. Certainly not strong enough for one-pedal driving. Which is a shame - but also not unique to the Honda
I just drove one of these all day today and its a great car to drive and easy to live with. I think Honda has created a great overall package and this review is very biased. I dont even know how can you compared HONDA to Kia and Peugeot. Honda is known for excellence and quality. Kia and Peugeot do not belong in the same sentence with Honda at all. First and last video watching of these channel pure trash.
I agree, spent a day with this after being a top spec Civic owner and absolutely loved it! Ordering mine tomorrow. 😊 I wouldn't buy a Peugeot or Kia if you paid me 😂
Hello, this Honda quite different from the rest of the lineup (we would know because Sam has spent a lot of time with Hondas including this CR-V ruclips.net/video/ETChUDEG_KE/видео.html ). It's a car that was originally made for the Chinese market and has had minimal changes made to adapt to the UK market.
I got mine 3 weeks ago and absolutely love it. I don't understand these type of reviews... Doesn't matter how good is the vehicle if the tester already decided to pull down the car 🙄 Range can be a bit better but other wise I think its a nice car with very good and modern interior.....😇
I test-drove it the other day hunting for an EV to buy. Admittedly I've only driven one other EV so I can't compare, but that drive was smooth and it really goes when you stamp on the accelerator. I ended up getting the new Clio hybrid. Slightly slower off the line, but great for UK driving.
I recently purchased the Honda e:ny1 elegant , hoping it would be a reliable and economical electric vehicle. Unfortunately, my experience has been disappointing. Limited Range: The real-world range is far below the advertised 256 miles, especially when using climate control, making it impractical for long trips. Poor Cold Weather Performance: In winter conditions, battery drain increases significantly, especially in traffic, compromising comfort and safety. High Running Costs: Charging at public stations has cost me £120-£175 in just a few weeks, far more than the £80/month I spent on fuel for my petrol car.
Actually got an ENY1 as a courtesy car. Beautifully built, a doddle to drive, decent range, roomy & all the tech you need. As usual a really nice vehicle from Honda. A bit pricey but all EVs are..
Why do you feel the need to plug your safety belt in while pushing the start button, are you in that much of a rush? Also, why not do your homework if you are to review a car, there is a button to the right of the charger cover, no need to go running back to the cabin? Electric boots do take a little longer to open and shut, refer back to my first question. You give the impression that the car would edge towards being a bad buy for the reasons you mention but then say it would be a good buy as a used car? surely, the same opinion would apply to the car no matter what or are you saying that you based everything upon price point? All in all, I wasted a few minutes of my valuable life watching this review.
Hi Peter, that’s easy to answer: The e:Ny1 is hard to recommend at full price because it’s much more expensive than rivals, yet not any better. But assuming values decrease pretty quickly, then the car’s foibles will be easier to dismiss, and it’ll become better value for money. Hope that clears things up? As for your other points, the start button is a minor subjective thing, but given nobody else does it like this in the class, it’s worth highlighting. This is a car ‘review’, after all 🙂
I drove one while in Norway for two weeks and think its a great car. Charges fast enough and range was very good.
I’ve got a black one with black windows! I love it it’s the best car ever! Well not quite but it’s a extremely good car
GJ!
1 question remained tho: does it not have regan at all in noraml mode or it just lacks 1 pedal driving generally?

Sam Sheehan had already decided before this test that he really didn't know this car...or certainly Honda in general!

Yes the charging speed is around 80 kw.. but the charge curve is quite consistent.. and dont drop down like on kia and peugeot.

The Clio Hybrid looks great, too!

We can’t deny it’s got plenty to like, but Sam did struggle to see why it’s almost £10k more expensive than some of its rivals 😅
Honda salesman entered the chat. It’s terrible!

Bro really pushed the start button wrong 💀 why dont you just put your hand to left side of the wheel and start 💀💀
Its not even an issue its just a button to start a car
Do you mean put your hand ‘through’ the left hand side of the wheel? The button’s on the right 🤔
@@cinch it was quite a stupid claim, you put on your seatbelt.. THEN you start the car.. or loose your license.
I quickly read most of the commets here before watching the whole review, thanks for saving my precious time! After minute mark 2- I’m out of here!
Yeomans Honda in Guildford offering £16,000 off a new Elegance which tells me they not exactly flying out the door.
There about to get fined 8 grand per electric car they haven’t sold
Are you a left handed person? So change your claim about the start button!!!!
Hey! Sam’s right-handed 🙂
@@cinch he should not say it’s on the wrong side then !
What a terrible review. Waste of time.
Unfortunately this goes to show you cannot take a reviewer wearing green corduroy trousers seriously
I guess this guy doesn't like Honda! ( much )
He loves Honda! Examples: ruclips.net/video/uInwrkdNjbM/видео.htmlsi=XZH6bAu4oq-dM6w1
And ruclips.net/video/ETChUDEG_KE/видео.htmlsi=5qcwrCZjASEOPwZ2
Not mention the 200,000 miles it needs to cover to become carbon neutral!
This review tells me nothing. I won’t be reading any of these reviews again.
Can I suggest you try watching rather than reading our reviews? 🤔

@@cinch I did watch. Sarcasm is not endearing. Goodbye.
