My interpretation of this song (the short version ) is that she loved someone very much and then they left or got hit by a bus or some shii and now she misses him really bad and is depressed and in an attempt to forget about the person she turned to drugs, partying, alcohol, etc. Only to realize it's going to be harder than she thought to forget and can't take it any more (she says can't go home alone need someone to numb my pain) and that's where I will conclude this theory cause I'm to lazy to go into more depth about what the hell she does next. love this song because I can identify with the lyrics. not in a loss of a relationship or anything but just I've been in a dark place where I used drugs to deal with problems. I've been clean four years now and looking back, I'm not sure what pushed me into using but I will never forget the reason I stopped. the fun does end eventually and you realize you aren't using the drugs they are using you.

I would never tell an addict it's time to stop. because that's a choice they have to make. you cant do it for anyone else, it has to come from you. I dont believe in intervention because when someone is on drugs, heavy drugs at that, the addiction numbs and separates emotion and most of the time an intervention will push an addict to use more to numb the pain they feel from the guilt of hurting their loved ones. it's a disease not a choice, yeah they chose to try drugs and yes they went too far and it hurts but if you love an addict and help them without judging them

I hate how people get the wrong impression of this. It actually sings a serious topic, breakups turning into addictions. The same problem happened to the famous anime video "ME!ME!ME!" It's annoying because people think it's pointing out dumb actions like going to sex clubs or getting into a smoke/alcohol addiction. It's explaining the aftermath of some breakups, but people can't realize they need to truly understand the lyrics first before listening to this over and over again, thinking it's just explaining "cool things" to do. Especially for the generation we all live in.

With most people, with how neurotypical brains react to drugs (especially over prolonged use), I'd agree whole heartedly with your statement. However, I have seen a few rare cases where non-neurotypical people (generally known as autistic [and the ones I'm referring to were considered high-functioning]) used drugs (meth, specifically) on a regular basis. These people... were able to function better socially and emotionally. Prolonged use did seem to worsen their memory for things that they were not personally interested in (and their memory for such things tends not to be even half-way decent to begin with) and any issues they previously had with "taking care of themselves" (e.g. hygiene, "remembering" to eat, remembering appointments/bills) also worsened... But they were happier and had less anxiety in large crowds. So it makes me wonder if it's really such a terrible thing...
