Rest in Peace Richard M. Sherman. You and Robert wrote some of the greatest songs of all time with "Mary Poppins" and alongside Kenny Loggins with "Your Heart Will Lead You Home", one of my favorite and absolutely underrated Disney songs of all time!
Amazing the dearth of coverage of this household name’s demise. Perhaps “Mary Poppins” is seen as anachronistic, too off kilter with our more sophisticated world of today. The fact is the world has never needed more the uplift of gladdening songs of Sherman’s kind in Mary Poppins, if only to poke in the eye the grimness and cynicism that is the arts and entertainments today.

I just love Richard & Robert Sherman's work in many Disney movies from The Parent Trap to Mary Poppins to Charlotte's Web. You will be missed.
