  • This is my third year in a row winning the Carry Optics Division at the Pennsylvania State IDPA Championship
    Despite the threat of rain all day, the weather thankfully held out and everyone was able to fully enjoy the great stages set up by the staff.
    The match was run very efficiently and I couldn't have asked for a better squad of people to shoot with!

    Very nice shooting! I shoot the Canik Rival in USPSA Carry Optics and started 15 months ago, I'm C Class, working my way slowly towards B Class and having so much fun along the way.

    Hell yea! I started shooting IDPA in January and have my first state match in August. Any thing major that is different between a tier 4 and tier 1?

      @@James_Cantrell_Shooting well I did fail English… haha
      So there was a match put on by an organization called Go Fast Don’t Suck, and the match should be titled Go Fast Don’t Suck.
      They put a match on every year(first year for IDPA) that is “world wide”. Where participating local clubs put on the exact same match, so shooters can see how they place against shooters world wide.
      The match results on Practiscore for this match have a J. Cantrell taking first, I naturally assumed it was you.
      If so I was interested to see your match video.
      Hope that clarified things😂😂😂

    Nice bro! Congrats! ..My setup is very similar to yours. My Rival now has the FS trigger shoe and sprinco springs , tungsten guide rod with #14 wolf spring , TF brass backstrap , brass mag extensions, and of course the SRO. My only issue is that i wish they made the Rival much heavier.

    • @James_Cantrell_Shooting
      @James_Cantrell_Shooting  2 года назад +3

      Nice! Yeah, some extra weight wouldn't hurt, but I don't really think it's holding anyone back either. Just gotta practice and you'll be able to run any gun at a high level. Extra weight can end up becoming a crutch you become reliant on.

    • @James_Cantrell_Shooting
      @James_Cantrell_Shooting  Год назад +1

      It really depends on you to be honest. I think a trigger shoe, guide rod/recoil spring and Brass backstrap is a good starting point, but the gun is honestly still very good when stock
