      Exactly. And not moving my stop loss, just thinking about it like a business loss. Like Owning a restaurant. You pay the sewage bill, employees, the building lease, the ingredients ect ect. Profit is what's left after.
      Treat your losses as a business expense

      If you got a legit trading strategy can prop firms, for the lack of a better word, steal it? Or if you improve it to much better degree can they put an NDA on it?

    • @somber8233
      @somber8233 Год назад

      @@rishabhkhosla2216Not sure what you mean by steal. It's not like they're requesting you to write them a book on your strategy so they can use it themselves. There's only so many systematically ways to trade that a strategy won't be unique anyways. Being profitable comes down to experience and there is no one strategy that will make a trader. I could have a very profitable strategy, sell it through a paid course and only 10% of the people are going to succeed with it.

    Maybe at first, it was a bad idea, but I just started trading 2 months ago and found out about prop firms and blew up 2 accounts. But having to manage losses and the actual real experience of trading on a large account has made me learn so much more and faster that if I traded with my own money and small capital. I'm now on the 3rd try but as I've learned so much from the other two, I'm only about a week away from passing the evaluation. I'm so happy with my progress. I think I'm speeding through way quicker. So a bad idea at first, probably, but it ended up as a great learning curve

    except....most prop firms encourage and focus more on level 2 orderbook trades and use more of a fundamental & market dynamics or spread trading approach and would almost certainly avoid price action or technical analysis driven strategies. At least that's the case for serious prop-firms. You have also "prop-firms" that aren't technically prop in the traditional sense that have access to higher leverage from brokers and will let you play around with your own strategies on paper accounts and might give you access to some of their leverage but then this delves into murky, untested, dodgy waters....But i do share your sentiment on having a bigger account. In my case i actually have a strategy that i programmed myself in tradingview that is automated and works well with real trades (no paper trade nonsense) but no access to large capital to take advantage of it. problems, problems...

    • @shawnmunck7412
      @shawnmunck7412 Год назад

      dont worry bout prop firms. just focus on watching the market. its in a bad bear market currently so keep an eye out for any breakouts it has(for whichever crypto or stock your investing in), and watch out for whats known as an ABC correction. sell during the A phase and when it hits B, buy back in to make gains for its breakout to C.
      for me, i focus on crypto so take a look at the following:
      XRP
      XLM
      ALGO
      FLARE Token
      SHIBA INU
      these will be your best bets for massive gains over the next few months to few years an can easily 25X your investments if done at the right time when everything breakouts into a bull market again. best of luck to you bro.

      @@ToriTrades it's a challenge that a channel named the moving average made a video about it, basically u put 20$ on and u trade it with 30% risk and add the profit to it and do it again with new balance and repeat it 20 times and somehow it gets to 52k at some point 😐🤌🏽

    Prop trading firms often provide insufficient capital, offering only a simulated account with stringent conditions, such as a trailing drawdown, in an attempt to extract fees. If a trader performs well, the firm can profit from the small percentage of successful traders, creating a win-win scenario for the firm. Prop trading firms merely hasten the separation of winning and losing traders.
