What a legend... and I knew he would mention the 1981 (Jan 10th 1982) NFC Championship game as a key moment for him and ESPN

Rich, love your style of broadcasting.....love your way of just talking to friends......love your availability in your comments....have you watched you for a while. You make your guests comfortable and you always get the best responses from them. You also show respect and I don't think you will ever forget where you came from. Keep it up....gonna be watchin' You Da Bes

Chris Berman is an American hero/icon and will never be matched but Rich Eisen will be in the same hall as he is one day. Great show!

The Swami picked “Bill’s vs. 49ers” Super Bowl for like 20 years straight. This guy is a sports legend. Growing up in the 90s, I looked forward to him and Tom Jackson doing NFL Primetime more than I did the actual games. He should get more credit for the NFLs explosion in the late 90s.

Why can't the tonight show be like this? This is what Johnny Carson did. He was funny, great interviews, stayed out of politics, etc. Sure miss the old days, but you bring a piece of that back with your work Rich. Go Blue!

Fascinating podcast. We will miss Berman when he is gone. He was the the anchor (no pun intended) that built ESPN. Loved hearing the respect Rich has for Chris and all of the old ESPN stories.

Berman is the absolute man.. I grew up watching Chris and will never forget his iconic NFL Primetime show where he would do his rumblin bumblin stumblin and his WHOOP....just the best ever. No one will ever compare.

I have enjoyed Chris since ESPN began. Fantastically funny. I couldn't wait to see SportsCenter at night and watch Berman do highlights with all the nicknames and the "back, back, back, back..." Great memories. And I know Rich is very sentimental and loves reminiscing 🙂
