You gotta love how they reference the cut Mars line in this comic. Really shows that Crash fans are behind these games (it's just that Activision had their greasy mits on the IP)
Theory: Oxide was the fastest racer in *his* galaxy, Velo is the fastest racer in ALL the galaxies, which made him the Galactic Champion, Oxide just thinks he's the fastest racer in all the galaxies because of his self confidence with his big image. after the events of CTR, Oxide found out about the Galaxy Circuit, and when he did, he couldn't be more happier, knowing he has a chance to go back to his glory days as a racer, which is why he would work for Velo.

I'm working on a Crash fandub project (mostly focusing on getting the handheld games dubbed with help from some VAs) and figured it'd be interesting to do the CTRNF comic(s) or the Crash Manga eventually. But definitely nice job on this, I thoroughly enjoyed it :)
