Get slave shackles (however you like. Either escape slavery or kill/free a slave...I suppose, technically, you could do it while enslaved and save on food costs, but you have to time things right or they'll just put you in a cage...)->find someone who will leave you alone when you're downed->equip slave shackles->attack them. Slave shackles will make you fall over immediately, you then get up for the toughness increase.
Mate, this is brilliant. Use 20 strength to break prisoner shackles on any prisoner (Rebirth or any slavers) so they don't disappear, steal them and to annoy that huge crowd of hungry bandits west of Deadlands. 100 toughness in couple of minutes.
I discovered this same exploit on my own, and there's actually a slightly better way to do it. If you don't heal yourself fully before you get up around enemies, you'll be knocked unconscious as soon as they aggro on you - but only for about 10 seconds. Eliminates almost all of the downtime and lets you get to this level in less than half the time. I also do this with dust bandit camps instead, and that works well IMO, but I like your method with the Exile Camp too. Never tried it that way.
For reference I was able to pass 80 toughness by the start of day 4 starting in the border zone and doing this with a hive prince via dust bandit camps.
Dude I'm watching your "solo kill everyone" vid along with other guides. Not only are they super interesting and helpful despite me having hundreds of hours in the game, your sinister chuckles also make the vids well worth watching once and again.
Whenever I play the Rebirth slave start, I escape through that river and steal from the Armor King. He is the only one you need to care about. The thrills and spiders dont care if you steal, even if you arent sneaking. As long as you arent too close to the AK you have free reign to his stuff.
You get the armour so long as it's heavy and 100% coverage , dust bandit camp , walk in , let them beat you to sleep , medic all your wounds , then just get up over and over , if you medic the 1st time they can't hit you hard enough to put you down for long as you'll heal as fast as they can hurt you and recover.
BIG MISTAKE when you about to loot armor king you can talk to him and open trade window to see what he has at all once you see his items list you can than know when you hit the jackpot in the safe/chest
Spec out for harpoon resist + coverage, find a couple Dust Bandit camps, kill the melee guys, let the rangers go nuts on you. You'll take under 1 damage per hit. VERY safe early toughness training if you stay far enough away from the road to avoid slavers.
FOr me i use wild bull as my training partner for toughness as well as my stealth training, but not easy to find good pack of 5++ for training, unlike your method that had definite number. for early small number bonedog are good, but make sure never reach recovering coma, that become bad news when bonedog around. i will tried your method soon with my side character, thank you for the video.
A bit late to comment but i gotta say that if you wait for the commited a crime thing dissapear no npc you stole from will atack you unless you try to sell him his own goods
Just a heads up without editing the game (Basically cheating) you cannot get above 100 toughness. (This excludes animals because of their 1.1x multiplier when they are an Elder) Also go to Skinner's Roam to train Toughness. Got 51-85 in minutes last night there.
I don't remember my character had voices when they got hit by enemies. Is that part of the mod? Apparently those bandits also having their training whenever they beat you up. Even AI could gain Exp so for sure they are so happy whenever they saw their Training Dummy walking to their camp for a daily beating. 😁
From the dodge description it sounds like it only gets used when fighting empty handed, so it would be useless if you plan to be using weapons all game. Am I misunderstanding the description? I mean, it makes sense that it would come into play all the time....
Dodge is used in unarmed combat and when stumbling. Equipping a weapon will cause characters to block incoming hits instead of dodging them. A character equipped with a weapon will only attempt to dodge when they are attacked while stumbling. The chance of dodging is calculated similarly to the chance of blocking. It has a maximum 95% chance when your dodging level is at least 21 levels higher than your opponent's attack level. Having additional levels does not provide any additional benefits, but it may be useful against more skilled opponents.
If you use mods them maybe taking that which increases healing in all beds works better, put a sleeping bag near some enemies and go to sleep and let them hit you until they are tired and go away as you heal faster than their damage. With 10x bed healing i went to some dust bandit camp killed most of them and left like two standing and went to sleep then let the game open while watching a movie. Got like 70 toughness after one hour i think.
The only mods I was using for this, were for better textures and visual stuff. nothing to change game mechanics, Thanks for watching Somnorila !! those beds will help someone skip some time !!
Me playing kenshi (for the first time): It's day 50, time to toss away shoddy grade armor pieces to laborers This guy: It's day 7. Nah, these masterwork samurai boots are not the best, i am not even going to pick them up )
getting knocked out is part of the playing dead mechanic that is the fastest; with out that.... go to a fogman death yard and allow them to eat you alive without dying this will also shoot up toughness, its not the same. there is also a very tedious method of removing and reattaching one of your legs to trick the game into thinking you are knocked out.
idk I tried this method, but it seems so slow to level up toughness, sometimes it goes up sometimes not, so I remade a new game, and it works, it seems on my previous playthrough, my rep with them its +5 and it doesn't work, maybe because when the characters goes up after playing dead pop up, they need to be hostile, but because rep it's +5 from bandaging them after they clashed with berserker, they don't instantly attack me, and telling me to go away, which doesn't trigger the toughness xp.
Training Method for Toughness, Dodge, & First Aid, in Kenshi. You can go over 100 in this way, After about 85 or so in any skill it becomes tedious. At skill level 99 in Toughness with the x3 exp you need to get up from playing dead 5 time for 1% so that is 500 times for the 1 lvl. If you let the charicter rest or swap them; when they are close to full heath they will gain more dodge. and first aid will be trained over time so long as you have the kits. Happy Gaming!
There is an even faster method if you are willing to risk starvation. Having your character have only about 100ish food can make that character knock out before any of the major body health bars go below zero. Characters can get knocked out even at positive 40 health. The benefit is that the unconscious time is shorter allowing for quicker times being up and knocked out again. It also helps prevent accidental death during training. Another easy way is to be a slave since slaves are always starving but you won't have the armour king armor of course :(.
Another way to adjust the Toughness XP multiplyer is to be missing a limb. In this video I belive I have a X3 multiplyer for most of the time x4 if Taix also has a crippled arm. However It can go as High as X6. There are a few diffrent methods for gaining toughness, This is by far the most reliable, as you do not have to be a slave & also dust bandit camps can have too much RNG. The camps are never in the same place & the Bowmen kill the other dustbandits before you can train to 100.
sir are you aware you can shift rmb spam like an ape and get 748184718% assassination xp in a single sec? idk if its an unknown exploit or not but i always do it this way
